Can we expect a prize structure similar to that of the last one? Which by the way was a great time!, save the rain on the way out.
I should be there.

I hate trying to ask for days off from work. 'Tis a difficult process.
Still, if this was anything like the last one, it'll be well worth it.

You really ran a superb tournement last time, and I"m game for another one. Last month's event was GREAT! Lots of prizes, semi-cheap entry fee, mad door prizes, and tons of fun. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this to anybody in the vicinity of Southern California. BHWC will represent again, and place multiple members of in the Top 8 again.

Thanks for the flowers guys!! We got some time before the event, due to the holidays, so heres a few teasers;
1) Prizes will go to the top 4 and be guaranteed. 2) The prize for 1st place will be a permanent. 3) The prize for 4th place will be multiple items that are out of print. 4) There will be door prizes. 5) I talked with some people at GenCon SoCal, and it sounds like there maybe some out of state talent showing up.
Watch for further teasers, and thanks again for the kind words.

One week to go!!
Will Nguyen and TnT do it again, or will Christian and the boyz from the Bay make it past 2nd place this time?
Team BHWC managed a T8 appearance last time, can they crack T4 this time? Will the cardslingers from Arizona or Nevada make the drive and take the opportunity to shuffle it up So. Cal. Style?
Find out next week @ Dear Mr. Fantazy!!

Now hold on one hot minute-
I took 4th last time, and I'm a founding member of Team BHWC. In fact, I'm the one who designated the team as such. Now, true, you don't normally associate the team with winning if you don't associate me with it, and true, JACO's a fat, ugly, dirty whore who likes the feeling of man meat, but still, we're a team, damnit.

Does that make you a bitch or ho? Actually I always associated you with Team:Meat, but with half of Team:Veggie off in some commune in Europe and Max being a no show lately, I guess that team rivialry is dead. JACO's a fat, ugly, dirty whore who likes the feeling of man meat, Now we know what happened to Team:Meat.............. And besides JACO is only husky, no need to insult the ugly, dirty, man-meat loving whore by calling him fat! Shawn

In fact, I'm the one who designated the team as such. Dude, put down the crack pipe. B&H goes back to my Chicago roots, and I ALONE brought it to the West Coast, at which time you and I formed the BHWC in a bleary-eyed 5am post-shittily-run-GenCon-Type1-tournament-just-getting-out-haze. But you've represented well for the posse, just as you should. BHWC will be at THIS tournament as well, with at least Nickvos and I in attendance, preparing to smash you all with T1TN (Type 1 Tooth & Nail, you bitches; Mana Flare + Palinchron + Ambassador Laquatas = gg). The only question is, will Akuma/Gio and TracerBullet/Pat be there with us to help round out the top 4? We will ring in the New Year with a nice Unlimited Mox Emerald in our stocking (along with some Asian Foil Coal). Who else will be in attendance, gunning for those Italian Legends packs??

Very random small tourney report:
The tournament went great. 22 people were present for the event, with a wide variety of decks.
Top 8 breakdown was as follows:
2 Fish 1 Control Slaver 1 Stax 1 Oath 1 MonoB Dragon 1 BU Crucible control 1 TPS
1st: Stax 2nd: TPS 3rd/4th: Fish/Oath
It was cool to play with the soCal crowd, and it's awesome to have power tournaments going on around here. DavidH it was cool to beat you, though I had game 3 won when we finished (I think =D), that match was sweet. My favorite plays of the day were: 20 damage by Su-Chi welding, animate dead on grim lavamancer to hold off fish, rebuild in response to jar trigger, and vamp for lotus, ritual bargain, death by mindslaver.
As a note, slops to me for passing the turn and costing myself top 4. Should've gotten more sleep probably.
Now for some team trash talking: I do believe that Team White Lotus put a few more people in the top 8 than BHWC. Who is on BHWC anyways? Nick, Jaco, & Tracerbullet... but who else.
Anyways, it was cool to see everyone, maybe BHWC can put some people in the top8 with us @ the next one. I really am gunna build T1T&N, beat you with it, and then you'll be pissed.

Once again the So.Cal. crowd proves they are the best. Joe Donk-EE takes first with Staxxx and Nick wins the $35 side event.
Thanks to everyone who showed you guys kick serious ass!
For those of you who didn't show We will no longer accept the following excuses; 1) My dog died - have it stuffed and hollowed out, it'll make a great card storage area.
2) I got lost - let me get this straight, you can calculate storm count, float and mange 8000 mana of 5 different colors, explain what a card, with 15 pages of errata and rulings, does in 5 words or less but, you can't read a fucking road map!!
3) I'm getting laid - Candy the Crack Whore will still be on the corner after the tourny.
4) I have to do college prep. stuff - practicing panty raids in your moms bedroom is just sick, this isn't hillbilly country for Christ's sake.
5) The weather's bad, this includes rain, snow, wind, earthquakes, fog, mudslides, wildfires... - get your ass in the car, buy a bus pass, WTF ever it takes, in the words of our Governator, "Don't be a girlie-man, grow some sack and go play Magic!"
Thanks again to all who showed. Next tournament will be up today. For those that didn't, hope to see ya next time. We need to get the numbers up so Zherbus can start putting us in his reports, the West Coast is unrepresented and we need to change that.

Unbelievable, I can't believe Joe won again. It seems like he dominates all of you whenever he shows up and he manages to dodge playing me when I have Artifact Mutation main waiting for him. Let me guess, he was playing his patented Donkey Stax build, you would think someone out there (ie. JACO, since Pat doesn't metagame) would prepare for this unexpected deck Congratulations to Joe, and hopefully I will be able to make a showing soon, since I am part of the better half of BHWC, ie. Nick and myself are the ones that can actually place or win an event
