Your Move Games providence is going to be holding its second power tourney:
Where: Your Move Games 1670 Mineral Spring Ave. North Providence RI 02904 (401)-231-7468
When: Jan 29th signups will start at 12 and the tourney will begin at 1
Entery Fee: $15
Proxies: 10 will be allowed plz write on a basic land or have a print out of the card(s) deck lists will be required if you have a print out in advance that would be helpful.
The Prizes:
1st Mox Pearl Alpha (need 20 people min)
2nd TBA (based on attendence)
3rd TBA (based on attendence)
If we get less than 20 we will be putting up a twister guarenteed.
Last time we had 24 people plus a bonus entry fee from someone who wanted to support the tournament and we gave away the Emerald, UN Beserk, and a pair of mint UN Sinkholes to the top 4. We hoping for more people this time so we can give away more stuff.

I may get a ride with Apolyon, since he's passing right by bdeis anyway. If so, it looks like I'll be the only one *not* playing control slaver. Time to break out the creatures that swing. |

Rich and I split in the finals. I actually lucked out and snuck in to the top 8 a first round loss to BrassMan and a crushing final round loss to Rich. As the 8th seed I played back to back decks with Worldgorger Dragon. I was happy to make it past them as I had little dragon hate. I'll try and get a report up soon.

ELD and I split in the finals of this. There were, I believe, 38 players.
First, props to Bill and Jess for running a very fun tournament. No re-pairings, no 'bonus' second rounds -- it was just well run.
Second, the field was a very good field, with quite a few good players. As always, my match with ELD right before finals was an intense match. Brass Man and I had two matches, both of which were very intense and very good games. The first was an unintentional draw, the first I've had in a long time. I got the second match barely, thereby leaving me still undefeated by either Meandeck or Shortbus.
Also, props to the player whom I played in the top eight. Sorry I don't recall your name, but congrats on making your first Top Eight the very day you pick up Control Slaver. That's impressive.

I played at YMG too. It was a great tournament as well and a lot of TMD'ers were playing too. I played Oshawa Stompy. Yeah you can discredit it all you want, you can say "oh I'll never see that deck", keep saying it cause the metagame is ripe for it taking a niche with the budget players. Here is my list.

Nothing has changed since Waterbury. There is very little room for change in this deck other then the anti-air stuff that Ifh does. Went 4-2, losses were to Brassman and another top 8 dragon player. Lost to Brassman in the Top 8.
Great event. Little hot in there but you get used to it.
