Shocker is great...
but not in this deck.

He is trying to transition AWAY from red, and putting in a really (correct me if I'm wrong but shocker hasn't ever turned a game around...ever...) weak creature won't help him.

As for hyppies, the unfortunate fact is that only monoblack runs hyppies, and if you run hyppies you need to have a minimum of:

4x Dark Ritual
4x Duress
4x Hymn to Tourach
4x Hypnotic Specter

So I would not recommend hyppies.

That being said, perhaps you would run Tinker if you maindeck DsC or Platinum Angel?  If you have to justify Tinker (an argument I never thought I would have to make...Tinker=BROKEN) even more, run a broken artifact I would suggest Platinum Angel as with your acceleration and box you'll get an opportunity to hardcast a few times too.  The one time you draw your mox sapphire, tinker, ritual and duress should be enough justification for you to run tinker in this mode.  Just think...broken.  Because you're running a Dreams deck you don't have much brokenness but you could have a little, right?  Otherwise you're still weaker then SUI black which is...pretty weak man...

I don't have much time, sorry for the rushed reply... One quick thing Tinker/Jar > 2 Hypnotic Specter. Test it. You are playing Underworld 's Dreams. It's all about the draw 7's man.
Also you gotta get down to 60 cards, this is extremely important in a combo deck.
I have to agree w/ Rico Puzzle Box is a tad...slow, it not good IMHO.
Also don’t cut your acceleration, keep that Ruby! Acceleration wins you games.

Nope, shocker's never really saved any body.  I just think it fits in better with the deck over all if he's going to leave creatures in there.  If not the two slots that are currently filled with creatures could be filled with tinker and memory jar.

Ok, Tinker and Jar go back in over puzzle box.

I'm still debating between Windfall and Wheel and Deal.  For now I'll keep Windfall in.

Also if I run 2 Hypies I need to cut 2 of something.  Either 2 Prosperity, 2 Megrim, or 2 Counterspell.  None of which I really want to cut, but I will make sacrifices if I have to.

Another creature I thought about using was Cephalid Broker.  Why? It's a 2/2, and forces my opponent to draw two cards then discard two cards.  It costs one more than Hypie, but is 3{U} instead of 1{B}{B}.

I'd go with 2x wheel and deal over the prosperity.  It's going to provide you with disruption (making them discard), and if you've got the megrim in play you'll get the extra damage.
