Yeah, if this were only a LITTLE closer, like, in my hemisphere, I'd definitely go. Just sucks that the first Type One Pro Tour is on the opposite side of the globe.
On that note, I would like to say, if you live ANYWHERE in Europe and you don't go to this tournement, you officially don't have testicles. I don't care if you're getting married on this date; you can always reschedule a wedding.

Same thought about the price structure. It's insane either way, but right now the price for unpowered T8 is better then that for T8 in some cases. Drafting the beta power would have been the best option.
I'll be there. I preregistered and I'm number 88 already...

No room in the house exceeds a length of twenty-five feet, let alone fifty feet, let alone fifty-six and a half feet, and yet Chad and Daisy's voices are echoing, each call responding with an entirely separate answer. In the living room, Navidson discovers the echoes emanating from a dark, doorless hallway which has appeared out of nowhere in the west wall.

We are a few persons from Sweden who feel like comming down and playing. Checking up interest and above all, costs. It would though be a shame not to attend such a large tournament. I'll return when I have more information.

And maybe we europeans can show the americans how to succesfully enter/hijack a stripclub after a large tournament You will never, I repeat: NEVER be able to out-hijack me in the stripclub department. You yer-a-peeins may think you've got some game, but how many of you have actually made a stripper blush? Now sit down and wax my bikini line.

The 400 maximum is going to be depleted by preregistrations long before this tournament. Why was 400 chosen as the max? Are there going to be any side events or standby slots?

My guess is that it is a venue-related restriction. However, since I've never been there, I can't be sure.

Somebody wondered about this on a dutch magic forum: How can the T8 win a box of Saviors when the pre-release is a week later?

Toad made an error, the players in the Top8 don't win a box of Savior, just a box of Champions and a box of Betrayers.

We have extended the tournament to 512 players. That's 9 rounds, yep. How awesome for a T1 event.
Preregistrations are now closed.

I would need some International Judges for that event considering most of the attendance will be from outside France (only 60 frenchies preregistered). This event will be a GP scale T1 event, thus will give you a great experience If you are willing to gain more. The current staff is pretty experienced.
We will not be able to pay your trip or your hotel though (we will try to get some room arrangemnt for the nights if needed), but you will receive 2 boxes for the trip, which is more than what you'd have on a GP.
Fluent spoken english is required. PM me for additional information if needed.

@Toad. If we end up being 512 players and with some players with an automatically higher rating because of byes, I fear that a lot of players with 7-1-1 would be out of TOp8s because of rating. It isn't a blatant rant but pure math. With an additional round ( the Wizards' official Table state that we can organize tourneys with 10 swiss rounds since the number of 410 players ), I'm sure that some of these "problems" could be circumvented with ease. Playing an entire day ( and travelling so far ), ending 7-1-1 and being out of top8s becuase of rating, could be one of the reasons to kill all the celestial pantheon with a single and deadly word. The document you are referring to is outdated. It contains the old DCI tournament policy. 512 players is 9 rounds. 7-1-1 is guaranteed Top8 with 512 players.
