My team has at least 4 of every Dual land apart from Tundra (only 3, sadly). We have more than 4 of most of them though, so we're in the 41-80 range somewhere. We kept them and our Force of Wills after the 2002 Extended rotation, just in case, and it seems to have paid off well (as did the purchase of 4 Intuition for US$10...).

40 plus a wb German Tundra and a French BB Underground Sea. I might have more Savannahs and Bayous but they are in my casual decks and it's hard to figure out exactly how many I have (especially as I have lots of Highlander decks).
I am, however, very light on fetchlands, I only have 3 and only one of those is Vintage relevant.

Note that JD now has black bordered tundras. JD's amazing Underground Seas used to belong to me, and at one point two of them actually belonged to Windfall. As a lover of the white bordered, I sold my 4 fbb seas to JD, my 4 fbb volcs to someone random, my 2 fbb trops to Angel, my 1 fbb bayou to JD or company, and now only own wb duals. I have a full set (40) plus 4 seas, 4 trops, 4 volcs and 1 bayou. That makes 53. EITD |

Besides Mana Drains, the dual lands were the first Vintage cards I really sought after. I do this in every format - get all the useful lands, and then you can start building decks from the ground up.
I started collecting Unlimited dual lands because I saw so many people with BB sets, and asked myself, have I ever seen anyone with a playset of Unlimited duals? To this day, I'm still the only non-dealer I know of who's got one. I still try to upgrade condition on a lot of them, but duals nowadays have gone kind of crazy...

This is true, I have just acquired FBB Tundra, so now I own: 4x FBB Underground Sea (3 German, 1 Italian) 4x FBB Volcanic Island (all French) 4x FBB Tropical Island (2 German, 2 French) 4x FBB Tundra (2 French, 2 Italian, I think) They go well with the Mana Drains I own but like never play. |
