I've have playsets of Beta Tundra, Beta Tropical Island, Beta Underground Sea, and Beta Volcanic Islands. Beta dual lands are the most pimp cards in the game; in comparison they outshine even beta Power Nine in my opinion.
They are worth 5 times what their white bordered counterparts are, whereas beta power (sans lotus) is only worth about twice what white bordered goes for. So technically speaking, they are the worst investment for a vintage tournament player. So yeah they might be the "pimpest." |

The Vintage Avant-Garde only plays with Beta Duals, because Beta Duals are the most pimp cards in the entire game. (Summer Magic and misprints aside). They are worth that much money for a reason, people want them.

Like Solaran, I used to have 40 Duals broken in this way:
5 Underground Sea (5 Beta)
4 Volcanic Island (4 Beta)
4 Tundra (2 Alpha, 2 Beta)
4 Tropical Island (1 Beta, 2 UNL, 1 Revised)
4 Bayou (1 Beta, 3 Revised)
4 Taiga (1 Beta, 1 FBB, 2 Revised)
4 Savannah (1 Beta, 1 UNL, 2 Revised)
4 Plateau (2 UNL, 2 Revised)
4 Badlands (1 Beta, 3 Revised)
3 Scrubland (3 FBB)
After I sold my collection 16 months ago, I stopped playing Magic and I don't plan to play again as it was so much trouble finding all those cards. And this is just for duals. I also had Beta P9, lots of good rares from all sets, 4 English Drains, random Beta cards, Unopened Arabian Booster and Antiquity Booster. Don't plan to play any time soon unless I win the lotery. Even then...

4 Underground Sea 4 Tundra 4 Volcanic Island 4 Tropical Island I had a bunch of the others including 4 Bayous and Scrublands, but i traded them all off in a deal for a Mox Jet...good deal for me. All revised, pimping land is too expensive for me right now. |

4 tundra 4 underground 4 volcanic 4 tropical Revised. Too poor from acquiring my signed Unlimited Ruby and pack fresh Alpha Sapphire (which I need to trade down to Unlimited). Besides, Revised Undergrounds still tap for  or  . Note that I don't have this same attitude when it comes to foils or cheaper betas (Red Blasts, Islands, Dark Rituals, Swords to Plowshares, etc). |
