Didn't try GW, had a few guildies on WoW in the beta and our guild was actually split in half about which game to play: WoW or GW.  Then GW did something in the game and made everyone on the guild quit within a day, they couldn't tell us what the problem was due to the contract they signed but it seemed pretty bad to make everyone to quit it like that and join WoW.  SO my advice, buy it if you only realllllly want it.
