This thread just pooped up and got my hopes up for 9th, and my prospects of getting 4 seals.

http://forums.mtgsalvation.com/showthread.php?t=9899&page=1&pp=15

Just a quick synopsis.

Semi-confirmed--rumored-hopefully-reprinted Cards in 9th:
Duress
Imperial Seal
Rancor
Cataclysm
Mox Diamond
Jester's Cap
Winds of Change
Tradewind Rider
Brainstorm

Other possible cards in 9th
(from this thread: http://forums.mtgsalvation.com/showthread.php?t=9568)
Jester's Cap
all 10 painlands
Hypnotic Specter
Verdant Force
Personal Tutor
Jungle Lions

Mmmmmmmm Foil Hippie, Imperial Seal, Mox Diamond, Verdant Force, Jester's Cap.......Oops, time for new pants.

No words from Wizards or other WOTC "sources" but there is some concensus that this could be real.

Nooooooooooo way that Hypnotic Specter would get reprinted.  It's way above the power curve, doesn't fit in the color wheel well (it clearly infringes on white's domain of good, inexpensive fliers)  and it has random discard, which is not used on opponent-targetted (as opposed to random discard as a cost) discard.

Yeah with hyppie, and the ability to accelerate it out via mox diamond, with protection from duress, mono black would be a powerhouse. There's no way they could print all three of these together. Plus seal to pull early hyppies out.

Obviously, at least the truth is out. It's saying something when even Rancored Elf is impressed.

Actually I don't think Specter is too strong at all. There are a huge number of answers to it, and there's no Ritual anymore so things like Glacial Ray become viable answers as well. The random discard thing though is a definite no-no, and you may also have a point with the cheap flying, though stuff like Death's Head Buzzard is still getting printed.

What a shame!  If that poster were true, then you could take that and add it to the fact that 9th is the first set available in the Russian language...

Foil Russian Duresses... Foil Russian Brainstorms...

I'm depressed now.

I will break into your house while you aren't home and disguise myself as a chair. Then I will leave before you get home, but there will be a place at your table where I was a chair and you will wonder why there isn't a chair there. Then later I will leave the chair disguise on your doorstep and you will realize what has happened and you will be afraid all the time. Helter Skelter mother fuckers!

While the first post is a confirmed fake, the second post, with 10 painlands, Hyppie and Jungle Lions hasn't been called fake yet. I strongly suspect it is, as Jungle Lions are significantly above the curve for green weenies, they took the painlands out of 8th because they were expensive for newbies, and Verdant Force combines two awkward problems into one package by using token creatures AND compulsary upkeep effects. Hyppie is just about possible, but again, I'm sceptical for power reasons.

Verdant Force combines two awkward problems into one package by using token creatures AND compulsary upkeep effects.

Not only a compulsory upkeep effect, but one that triggers on every upkeep, not just yours (although it affects you every time). Which is different than 99% of upkeep effects, and I'm sure has confused many a newbie.
