Not sure how relevant this is, but this past weekend at the StarCity Power-9 tournament in Rochester I saw a guy playing Erayo in his Legacy Affinity deck, and the beginning of the game went something like this: - Turn 1: Artifact Land, Arcbound Worker - Turn 2: Artifact Land, Mox Diamond, Erayo, Frogmite, Frogmite --> flip Erayo I just wonder if it would be possible to use it in an Affinity deck of some sort in Type 1, where we have even more artifact accelerants to play in the first few turns and flip Erayo. Using free spells like Frogmite in conjunction with Erayo makes a lot of sense IMO. Just a thought, . Luiggi

The only thing I would have to say about this card is that I have seen a number of builds running 4 of this guy....
isnt that a bit risky considering it is a legend after all?
other than that erayo is pretty cool as a one or maybe 2 of somewhere.

Well, the real problem would only be if you draw 3, since it becomes an Enchantment with a different name when it flips, so you could one flipped and one just as a creature. The problem is if your opponent managed to then play 4 spells in a turn, which would suck, . Luiggi

I saw a guy use Lava Dart to make flipping Erayo MUCH easier. Something to consider.

Here's two lists I've been testing. One is for standard U/g Gro and the other is for GAT. I had initially wanted to use Murmurs to replace Gush, and started off with a GAT skeleton, but it became very easy to cut the deck off from Black(and Green) when Murmurs was used, so I switched it for Ideas Unbound in the GAT version, which has proven VERY powerful in this context. The Sorcery speed is a small problem, but since Gush was cast very frequently during your mainphase in the original GAT decks, it's not a terribly pronounced drawback.
@Matt I'll keep that in mind if I ever try to squeeze Red into the deck.
The sideboards are identical (and still very tentative) so I'll list it at the end
GAT (Erayo, Soratami Ascendant version)
4 Island 4 Tropical Island 2 Bayou 2 Underground Sea 1 Swamp 1 Black Lotus 1 Mox Jet 1 Mox Emerald 1 Mox Sapphire 4 Land Grant 4 Psychatog 3 Quirion Dryad 3 Erayo, Soratami Ascendant 4 Force of Will 4 Daze 2 Duress 4 Brainstorm 4 Sleight of Hand 4 Ideas Unbound 1 Gush 1 Ancestral Recall 1 Time Walk 1 Yawgmoth's Will 1 Berserk 1 Demonic Tutor 1 Mystical Tutor
Sideboard 4 Oxidize 3 Seasinger 3 Reverent Silence 3 Arcane Lab 2 Hurkyl's Recall/Echoing Truth
ErayGro (U/g Gro with Erayo, Soratami Ascendant)
7 Island 4 Tropical Island 2 Forest 1 Black Lotus 1 Mox Jet 1 Mox Emerald 1 Mox Sapphire 4 Land Grant 4 Quirion Dryad 3 Rootwater Theif 3 Erayo, Soratami Ascendant 4 Force of Will 4 Daze 2 Stifle 4 Brainstorm 4 Sleight of Hand 4 Murmurs from Beyond 1 Gush 1 Ancestral Recall 1 Time Walk 1 Mystical Tutor 2 Berserk/Shadow Rift (Not sure which is better here)
Sideboard 4 Oxidize 3 Seasinger 3 Arcane Laboratory 3 Reverent Silence 2 Echoing Truth/Hurkyl's Recall (Also having trouble deciding which is better)

I tried this in a version of WTF (mono blue) and it was not as effected as I would have hoped. I feel it works wonders with arcane lab if you can get enough acceleration out early. I am about to work on a version of WTF splashing in green for mana acceleration.

I don't have a concrete decklist but I got Pm'ed a lot about what I was doing with it. To be honest I tossed the idea though I do think it has potential, it's just there is so many fun choices out there right now to play around with and this one seems boring to play.
Anyway, the core of the deck is as follows, fairly simple.
4 Erayo 4 Phid 4 bolt 4 lava dart 4 brainstorm 4 arcane lab 4 forbid 4 fow broken crap
I was pretty much going the old Forbidian route but I didn't mess with it enough for any tuning whatsoever. I just figured it sounded like a natural spot for Lab and Erayo at the same time. You can run virtually no mana sources and one cc spells with a mid-game lockout. I'll mess with it when I get bored of Legacy. I've been on that kick for a while. It got itself banned in two headed giant, it can't be too bad. Thanks for all the PM's, makes me think my goofy ideas aren't too bad.
