Could you not please any quotes from the interview up please.   Part two will be up sometime late tomorrow on Playfeed.com and will feature my interview with Randy Buehler.  He also drops some stuff about type one in it, like he loves it, his love of duals and why no one from Vintage has ever been invited to the invitational.  The answer will surprise you.   Okay I am done hyping it.  The interviews where done over E3 during the invitational.  I got this question by asking PTW what would you ask Magic R&D?  Either PTW or someone else came up with it, I was just the person asking the question? Who wants to confess to being the person who actual wrote it?
One thing I did come away from the interview is Mark Rosewater is he really loves his job, he actually really cares about Type one, and he has to be one of the best living game designer alive.

My apologies for the quotation. How did you get the opportunity to interview the two?

To answer the question, this interview was done by a friend of Marc's, which is how he found it.

I am a video game journalist and Wizard's PR person emailed me if I would like to interview the Invitational players at E3.  I asked if I could get an interview with anyone from R&D in particular Mark Rosewater and Randy Buehler.  I figured that would be a big no.  To my shock they both said yes (Randy did not at first but a few days later said yes).   I am very thankful for them both giving me the interviews.    Now please tell everyone so their message can be spread all over the world.
Yes Marc is a friend, he is my real estate agent.  Yes I begged him to post this to themanadrain

As far as I know, I came up with this question when Marc was asking around. So, go me.

Yes, Matt is correct. He is indeed the one who came up with the question relevant to Vintage in the Mod lounge.

I can't wait till they allow me quote stuff from this. i want to put oneof MaRo's comments in my sig sooo bad. Actually, they can't stop me from quoting from it if I mention the source, but I'm going to be a gentleman about this.

I just finished the interview, it took me 8 plus hours to get done.  Much longer than I planned.   It should be up very soon.  Sorry about the delay.   One thing about the dual lands thing, when reviewing the audio part of the interview he almost spilled the beans about the next set having some seriously kick ass dual lands but shut up before I could get it out of him.   And no I  can not post the audio to the Internet.

It went like this:

(this is not in interview, because he just agreed with Mark)
<me>New good dual land like effects will be in future sets?
<RB> In Ravanoia(sp?) there will....What Mark said.

So I go nothing for you sorry, just the hint about something big with a dual like land in the next set.
I just got an email from my editor it should be up by morning time it is taking a while to edit.

This matches up exactly with what we know about Ravnica block so far. The first set will be like invasion and the second set will be like apocalypse, in terms of color themes.

Alright the Randy Burler interview is now up here:
http://www.playfeed.com/index.php/playfeed/article/e3_interviews_randy_burler_head_research_development_magic_05251145/

you can go ahead and quote the Mark Rosewater interview all you want.   Please do not quote the Randy Burler interview till Friday.
Thanks.

For all you, in particular Dante, who is attacking my work why do not bust your balls, write a bunch of questions, type the interview up from notes because the audio got messed up, all while doing on 12 hours of sleep from the week before.
For all of you who do understand, thank you.

You could've tried to search it for yourself, most sites have a search function Wink
