Gilded drake helps beat oath but it doesnt help to beat other combo does it?

what happens when you drake a dragon?
Oddly enough, nothing. Their loop continues after you work out the Drake stacking, although depending on when you use the Drake, you can get it into the loop. They still get their infinite mana/bazaar activations/witness triggers.

Doesnt the drake stack work out as follows?:
Animate targeting WGD
WGD comes into play, ability triggers
Respond with Aether Vial, Gilded Drake comes into play
Drakes ability triggers, WGD and Drake switch sides
WGD removes all of your(current owner's) perminants from the game, is still enchanted with Animate

Which would leave the fish player with only a WGD in play, enchanted by your opponent's Animate, and the opponent with their feild + gilded drake.
Or did I miss something?

The dragon's ability triggers when its under their control, before being taken by Drake. Drake's ability resolves, Dragon switches sides, but it still removes the permanents of the player who animated it.

You missed that the dragon's controller still controls the Animate Dead, which will get removed by the Dragon.

You can actually Vial drake at two different points in the loop--with WGD's CIP on the stack, or with Animate's LP on the stack. If you do it with the CIP on the stack, the dragon will remove the Drake and the Animate, die, bring them back, and then depending on whose turn it is, Drake or Animate will resolve first. If Drake resolves first, you have to sac it, otherwise, it stays in the loop, doing nothing. If you Vial Drake in response to Animate's LP, then you get the dragon, which dies, bringing back animate, bringing back dragon, removing animate and drake, killing dragon, bringing back animate and drake, and now it depends whose turn it is again.

I knew this situation sounded eerily familiar as soon as I read it. Over here was a similar situation that I believe I explained correctly. The only difference here is that Drake will end up coming back to play at some points, but as Jacob just explained, it won't do much good either - you'll either get a dead Drake, or a Drake waiting for an infinite loop to finish.
