Thanks for the input. I agree that the creature base is too top-heavy and that you rely too much on Metalworker. As for the strategy, the deck would fit into the second description: "Aggro deck with a couple artifact lock pieces for disruption while your beaters beat."

Anyway, Metalworker is, in my opinion, one of, or THE only reason to play monobrown. IMO playing threats via Metalworker is really good, playing threats via WS and other accelerants is not good enough for a monobrown aggro deck. And as you say, relying on Metalworker is far too risky.

Therefore, I have (for now) given up the monobrown build and am tinkering with a 4-c 7/10 split decklist. Colors give you really good things (obv) like tutors, card draw, welders and A sideboard.
