By the way Matt, that is absolutely awesome. I had no idea you were even into stuff like this (and skilled at it). I would love to participate in something like this (even though my only real skill would be writing the screenplay) and I'm jealous that you guys have something like that over there. Matter of fact, maybe I can steal the idea and start doing soemthing similar in the Netherlands

Regarding advise: you can easiliy do without sleepfor 48 hrs. but you likely won't have to. It's probably not useful for your whole team to be up 24-7. Nice prize support, too. Avid Xpress Pro and the accelerator cost some 3,000 bucks. The camera is likely the AG- HVX200, which costs some 6,000 bucks.

Could you put the film you end up making online for us to view?

Anyway, yeah, I used to make little films with my friends but we stopped and I hadn't done anything on it in a couple years until Saturday when I, on a whim after seeing a flyer, went to a cookout/movie screening for a new film production company some guys are starting up here in town. They're really the ones doing this, but I gave them my name and contact information and talking to them they seemed excited at how excited I was about working on this project.

I know you're not allowed to pick your own subject for the movie, but you should totally somehow include a midget Zamboni-driver named Jean-Luc battling a lion together with 39 random little people he met at a midget convention.
