I like this but the base effect should cost more - 2W sounds about right. This is always going to be played EOT, so I think it should cost 2W or even 3W so that in limited it'll be broadcast and good players can see it coming and maybe do something about it.

Maybe something about using blowguns to shoot darts tipped with sleeping powder at the enemy? That woudl tie in the cascade cost too - you get your team of like five guys to go out and snipe at the enemy - each man takes out his target.

I originally pictured Hail of Bolas as a swarm of Nicol Bolases or something. But I realized the intent was much more likely a hail of these bolas, which is still an amusing image but at least makes sense. I agree that, especially being white, it should have a strategic name. Some sort of feint, perhaps, as the flavor for creature-tapping in white is usually decoys and diversions. Grand Feint, or somesuch. |
