Just to clarify, new bids will reset the countdown to GOING-3 in order to avoid last minute bids beating long standing offers without any chance to bid back. I will also allow Ebay style 'max. bids' where I will increase your bid incrementally to beat new bids until someone unbids your maximum bid. This will mean that if 2 people do this on one card, we will all avoid a long wait and you will get your cards quicker.
I will try to find out the various postal option tomorrow. I will pay for standard air mail but if you require anything more (recommended for expensive stuff).
Payment can be in any currency as I'll be using my Euro account so the bank will convert other currencies. I'm pleased to say that current bids are already enough to sponsor a three-year old for 15 years, which was my target. I'm sure the charity won't mind extra funds though, so feel free to bid more.

Most bids now at GOING - 2

NEW BID ON THE MOX JET

Also I've lowered the prices on some cards that have no bids. I am open to offers but despite the good cause, won't sell for very silly prices.

OK guys, last chance. Most cards are at GOING - 1 so will be sold tomorrow unless you bid now!

I've also added a German BB Wheel of Fortune for those of you who hate having WB cards but can't get Alpha/Beta.

Please, put me down for the following bids:

$12 for the FR BB Demonic Tutor
$4 for the French BB Serra Angel
$5 for the German BB Serra Angel
$16 for the 3 Beta Rebs(I assume this means $16 for all three, and not $16 a piece)
$18 for the 2 Orcish Artilleries
$290 on the Mox Emerald
$21 on the Grim Tutor

I truely applaud your generosity Dandan...this is a great cause you are doing this for.

I'm trying to keep up with bids. Please check your bids as I don't have time to message everyone who has their bids beaten.

If I make any mistakes with bids please let me know. I'm only human and today is rather hectic for bids!

Unless otherwise stated, I will assume all bids are 'Ebay-style' i.e. a bid for $1000 on the Lotus (yes, please!) would be entered as $10 more than the current bid. However the countdown will be reset for each new high bid. If you want to enter a high bid to close the auction quicker please bid Great Wall $1 FIXED BID (not that I'm selling my Great Wall, although I assure you it has never been played)

I will close all GOING - 1 bids today (likewise all GOING-2 and older GOING-3s will be counted down)

Corrected my error on the Emerald. A standing Ebay style bid beat Iamfishman/s bid of $290. Sorry for that

Some bids closed, lots of updates, dandan getting very confused with Ebay-style bids (hell, that Ebay guy must be a computer or something!) and I was just wondering if anyone would be interested enough in 2 German Forests with pictures of Plains (perfect for the Mike Longs out there) to give me an offer I can't refuse.

Yay!  Full set of BB Power.

Ok well, I just got paid today and it's more than I thought, so I'll go for the AN Erhnam at 17 then.  Also, dandan, do you have any of the following commons in A/B?  Stone Rain, Power Sink, COP: Red, COP: Black?

Or uncommons Air Elemental or Lure?

Just Power Sink, although COP Green is almost COP Red or Black if you are colour blind. Just add whatever you think fair to the amount for the Timetwister for the Power Sink.

More cards gone and it looks like the rest are fairly settled. I'll wait a couple of days until all the parts sell then send out email/messages to the winners.
Catch these cards while you can!

More cards gone and an appeal against a too fast countdown! I can see why people use software for auction. Thanks for your patience, we are coming to the end here.

P.S. Registered mail to the US from Europe costs almost $3, within Europe just over 1 EUR.

I'll contact all bidders about payment and sending as soon as all bids close (maybe as soon as Tuesday). I am waiting to hear from Plan (the charity) about the possibility of direct payments to them.
My wife's birthday is taking up most of my time but I'll sort out the auction early next week.

You made an error in the bid from iamfishman - $ 197 is kinda steep.

If you sell all this stuff to sponsor an African Child I would hereby recommend to declare you being Holy and propose you for some kind of Nobel prize. You are awesome. I´m far too selfish to even come close to something as generous as this.

Thanks for letting me know, I'm sure Iamfishman would have had a heart attack at $197.

To me selling 0.1% (probably less) of my Magic cards isn't generous at all. I'm dealing in numbers on a computer, there's no way I would be able to part with the money if it were in my wallet (damned Scottish blood). In any case, I'm hoping it'll have a positive effect on my daughter to outweigh the racism that is all too common out here in Slovakia (they haven't discovered political correctness yet)

OK, we're almost done. The charity weren't very helpful about direct donations so I guess it'll have to be direct bank transfer as the standard form of payment (I'm open to any sensible methods though). Please start to send me your addresses so I can pack these cards. I'll get all the bank details together (for some reason some people's banks want bank branch address, etc) and PM/email all winners. Sorry for the delay but we'll get it all sorted out this week.

It is now October and I still haven't received payment for lots of the cards. (so far I've received $2515 out of the total of $4232). If you know you are not going to pay, just tell me rather than ignore my mails and messages, I'll sell the cards to someone else.

If you have send money, by post or by bank, please please let me know as I will wait as long as I know that money is coming.

If not, I will have to re-offer the cards.

For reference the good stuff that is still unpaid for is

4 Mana Drains
Mox Ruby
Mox Jet
Mox Emerald
Workshop
French BB Underground Sea.

I'll probably keep the lower cost stuff rather than re-offer them. Taking Welders out of one deckl to put in another is way too much hassle!

A few people have replied that payment is on the way. The Mox Jet IS back for sale. Send me bids by message, mail (dansnd at host.sk) or post in the forum. I will use the Ebay method so you can bid the maximum amount and I will automatically increase the current bid in increments of $5.

Note that Paypal won't send to a Slovak bank (they have no problem taking my money though!) so payment would have to be by bank transfer, Western Union or the like or the cheaper but somewhat risky cash in post. As I really really want to finish this auction, the Jet closed on Friday and I'll put any other cards that I haven't received payment and/or assurances about payment back up for sale.

These cards are

Cardsale                   Set          Condition   Price (USD)   High Bidder
Mana Drain x4            LE   NM   410
Mox Ruby                  UL   VF   310
Mox Jet                 UL   VF   320
Mox Emerald             UL   NM/VF 300   (Currently in the hands of MVS (MoreFling) in Holland as the deal was meant to be third party)
Mishra's Workshop     AQ   NM   165   Reserved for GrosBlob
Ice Storm x 3            Beta   NM   45     Reserved for GrosBlob
Clockwork Beast       Beta   F   8   Reserved for GrosBlob
Demonic Tutor    RV   NM   5   Reserved for GrosBlob
Fungasaur                   Beta   NM   4   Reserved for GrosBlob
Goblin Welder x 4   UR L   NM   30   Reserved for Sampling Percus
Sol Ring                UL   NM   10   Reserved for Sampling Percus
Balance Fr BB       FR RV   NM   8   Reserved for Sampling Percus
Mer souterraine (underground Sea) FrBB   VF-     65   Reserved for Sampling Percus

Mana Crypt          Book   NM   30
Demonic Tutor           Fr BB   NM   20

Bold is defintely for sale, italics is almost certainly not for sale, others I will try to establish status by end of week.
I am not offering third party this time for time/hassle reasons. I'll give you references from 'names' here who received the other cards in the auction if you like. I expect $3 for regular airmail, $7 for registered mail

Well, if Sampling percus doesn't come through, I'll gladly offer up to 80 (starting at 70, in 5 dollar increments) for the FBB Underground sea. Keep me posted!
