In a couple of weeks I'll be moving from the UK over to Canada for a year, Calgary to be more precise. I did a search on these forums and the most recent post involving Calgary was from February 2004. So does anybody know if there's any Type1 going on in Calgary?

Thanks

Luke

I just moved back from Edmonton recently. And unfortunatly the T1 scene out there isnt very...well...robust.
There is a small town just south of Calgary however, called Okatoks. Its about a 15 min drive south of the city. Last I heard they were doing bi-weekly Vintage tournaments with fairly sucessfull turnouts. Now this is all just 2nd hand info, as I never got enough time to drive down to one.
Magic in general is rampant in Calgary/Edmonton. Edmontonsr prerelease tournaments actually rival the size of the Toronto prereleases, if not exceed it, and combined with Calgary, nearly double the Toronto one. You shouldnt have a problem once your their of tracking down Jason Ness (the local mtg TO) or a store and seeing where the hotspots are.

Good luck! If you need any further info, just give me a pm.
