Memnarch/Vedelkan Engineer

I need to know if this works.  Memnarch in play with a vedelkan engineer with a Pemmin's aura on him.  I know that if you pay the three mana from memnarch to turn engineer into an artifact so that the mana produced by the engineer could be used to produce the infinite mana.  Now all i need to know is if this combo works.  Please respond.

You need to turn the Pemmin's Aura into a artifact. Afterwards, it does work.

Slay is right, and you actually don't even need to bother making the Engineer an artifact. The activated ability is on Pemmin's Aura itself, it's not given to the creature. Once the Aura is an artifact, you can use the mana from the Engineer to untap himself and still have one to spare, so yes, it is an infinite combo.

Just remember that the mana still came from the Engineer, so you can only play artifacts or artifact abilities with it. Although, with Memnarch on the board, I'm sure you'll have no problems using all that mana.
