If I animate a Darksteel Citadel with Karn, Silver Golem (or Karn's Touch), what is the result?
Is dying due to state-based effects (in this case, being a 0/0) a 'destruction' effect?

Indestructible does not stop the 0-toughness state based effect. Citadel will die, just as Myojins with divinity counters do if you use Sickening Shoal on them.
