You can find the T8 decklists at http://www.magicclubmol.be/tournament/type1/top8/20051002.pdf

The winner (Pyromaniac) also wrote a report which can be found at http://www.themanadrain.com/forums/index.php?topic=24851.0

Thanks for the Top 8 Decklist Link. Very fun and informative.

It was the most asthetically pleasing top 8 list i've ever seen.

Some things stuck out...

the Sligh deck...1 strip, 1 wasteland, 20 mountains? Wierd.

Also, for anyone into the whole Gifts thing (I only play against it...) if there are 4 duresses in the sideboard (like one in the top8), what matchups do you have them in mind for? (like Slaver? Oath? WonGameOneOnThe DrawGameTwo.dec?) what would you side out?

Just curious.

I think he was scared of Storm combo.

Can anyone just post the lists into this forum? I don't have progams capable of downloading/opening this file.

Getting PDF reader is hardly any trouble, and it's a useful program anyway. Also, copy/pasting the info from that page would be tedious and rather pointless.

To answer lotushead, I can only confirm what gabethebabe already posted: combo must be the reason, but I don't think it's worth it.

About the weirdness of the lists: It was a 32 player tournament with no proxies. There were plenty of fully powered players, but I know for a fact at least that most of them simply just got paired up against each other. Since 3-1-1 is enough to make T8, if you play a bad deck but happen to be a better player than the bad decks you face in the first few rounds, it might not be too hard to get in. In any case, in T1 anything can happen I suppose.

.

Not when getting on the internet in general can be almost impossible since your computer is from a zillion years ago.

Fonts and Formatting.  A lot of love went into the presentation of the top 8 lists.

That's all.

oh I see, yeh...

id prefer the number of cards to be on the left side though I guess (probably since that is what im really used to)

heh, I was thinking you meant that the lists that made it themselves were friendly to the eyes (which is just the opposite IMO, heh)
