I thought that it might be fun to have a "you make the card" for TMD only. I'd like to see what kind of crazy things you guys have been cookin up that you haven't vented into Card Creation Forum thus far so let's see how this goes.
The order of voting will go: 1) Color 2) Card Type 3a) Card Ability / Power Toughness (If it's a creature) (Sent to me via Personal Message) 3b) Most realistic options will be put up to vote* 4) Card Casting Cost / Balance (The card will be put into a regular type of Card Creation thread where it will be balanced.) 5) Card Art (If we have some aspiring artists who would like to have their art put out there.)
Depending on how popular this is we'll see how far this goes.
*Most any option will be put up, cards flavors that don't seem on color or card abilities that are blatantly unbalanced will not be posted. PS: PM me if I am missing an important step.

For the record, I selected red. Creating red cards is one of my biggest weaknesses, so I figured there might be value to creating one in cooperation with the rest of the card designers at TMD.

Did you know that Red is the color or art and music and passion? Combine that with Green, the color of nature, spiritualism, and community and you get a hippie commune of drum circles, dreamcatchers, and recreational drug use. Let's see that win a Pro Tour.

I'm glad to see people are voting and not flaming, I wasn't sure how successful this "project" would be. I'll tally the votes on monday and open the next voting session with previous results and comments. Feel free to tell why you voted for a particular color and since gold seems to be popular. Tell me how many colors you would like if gold happens to be the choice.

I do agree that blue/black/green should be at the bottom cuz they have a heap of good cards, but red and white need some love imo.

I voted White. I feel that White really really really needs some love.

I voted red, A, because I agree with ephraim and I'm a sheep, but B, because red cards have the most interesting design space that hasn't been worked out so far (Like browbeat type cards, red counterspells, mostly how far can red cross the line and still be in flavor for red.)

I actually had to explain to someone why Mana Drain was better than Counterspell. That was depressing...
Then they asked why Black Lotus was better than Gilded Lotus. I walked away.

Voted gold, I'd like to see more gold cards used in vintage, other than Nobel Panther

I'm having this feeling my inbox for PMs is going to be flooded with card concepts after we figure out the card type. I didn't think this would get that popular.
Just in case you wondered my vote: Brown

You don't have to handle the card concepts yourself. That could be open forum and after a proscribed period of time, collect all of the "serious" ideas into one final post, ask us to confirm the list, and then create the poll. That would take some of the burden off you. We have some pretty good heads for that sort of stuff around here.
Also, just a reminder on the procedure: When you put up the poll to determine the card type, remember to put instant and sorcery together, since they can be split later as part of a "plea bargain" with the mana cost.

I voted Red but rest assures that exploring Red's design space may well entail treading on other colour's toes.

@Instant/Sorcery: Already thought of that one but thank you.
@Results For Card Suggestions: My main plan for the moment was to just list them all in polls, dividing the cards evenly into 2 or 3 polls and then having the best of each poll face off.
So let's put it to public opinion: Poll Face Off or Open Forum?
You be the judge!
