I never read any of L. Ron Hubbard's books, but it doesn't really matter because Battlefield Earth was the worst movie I have ever seen; therefore, it wins every worst movie contest that it can qualify for.
Battlefield Earth ruined the word 'leverage' for me. I can no longer say it with a straight face. Nonetheless, Manos is definitely a worse film.

watched munich yesterday.
definately now what i expected.
if i was ready for a slow drama, instead of a typical exciting spilberg, then maybe i would have enjoyed it more.
as it was, it really dragged along, and if you don't care that much about arabs or jews, then...

About King Kong: are people serious when that say that the full 3 hours just flew by? I found that first part of the movie (up until they arrive at the island) too be verry boring. Now I don't expect action from the start of the movie, but this film took like a full hour before it finally got going. Besides that, the dialogue was awfull. I understand that the film is a remake of something out of the stone age but still, it really annoyed the hell out of me. It seemed like every line was another one-liner. The only thing I really liked about the film was the battle of King Kong versus the 3 T-rex.

I went to see King Kong at a midnight showing. BAD IDEA. I had no idea it was going to consume 3 1/2 hours of my life. I think I would have enjoyed it more if I wasn't as tired. Regardless, I fell asleep for 20-30 minutes while they were on the island, then took a phone call in the lobby and I feel like I didn't miss anything important.
On a related note, did anyone else feel like the time spent on the lisland was just too much? I got pretty sick of giant [insert animal type here] attacks.

I saw Munich tonight, and I thought it was excellent, but a little long.
It's not his masterpiece like some critics were saying, but it is definitely worth seeing.

You have not seen "Fantom Kiler" yet. That was by far the worst movie I ever watched. EVER. Why someone chose to make two sequels and can even sell them is far beyond me. (The IMDB comment doesn't do it justice. It's much, MUCH worse than that.) Even though there are naked women in it, the movie still fails on every single level -- even unintended comedy. Thank god it never was in cinemas. Back to topic: I went to see Domino two nights ago and I liked it, probably more than most. I found the narration structure well-suited to the task, and the actors pull a terrific job. Mickey Rourke is the epitome of cool in this movie, Edgar Ramirez is putting just the right amount of weirdness into Choco, and Keira Knightley is not only very good-looking but also a convincing lady bounty hunter. I enjoyed it, even though the whole movie is slow-paced compared with a hectic filming technique, which creates a tension that some may like (like me), or some may hate (like many reviewers). Dozer

Yeah, the cast and the actors were well-suited to their roles, and did an excellent job with what they were given. Unfortunately, what they were given to work with was not very good at all. The writing was poor and the director was on hallucinogens.

I can add to the Chronicles of Narnia love-fest - it was an enjoyable movie. I also liked Legend of Zorro, although the kid got annoying at times. I'd recommend both, though, even if you don't bother until they're at the cheap places. I also saw Chicken Little, which was amusing and watch-able in its way. Could have waited till DVD, though. It's very upbeat, and very much a 'feel-good movie', so for you depressed magic-players, avoid like the plague .
