We have had a lot of topics concerning favorite stuff. Be it cards, music, movies, books and whatnot. But I haven't seen a topic yet that is about your favorite altered art. So link in here to a picture of that Angel/Devil Morphling, Fuck Off Counterspell, Art-inspired Sundering Titan or Batman Ritual that you always loved. Mine definitely is the textless Terror, which is altered by Spencer himself. It features a Giant Shark who is eating the 'thing' drawn. I don't have a link right now but that art is AMAZING..
Edit: Spencer alters the BEST evar, no doubt!

There are a ton of edict alterations around. My fav (I dont remember where I saw it) was the batman one where he is swinging on a rope. There was also a KISS alteration as well, but i cant remember on which card. it was gene simmons facing to the right in his destroyer getup if i remember correctly. I loved the one he did of captain america on a standard bearer. There are a bunch of Christopher Rush alterations on his ebay store, mainly of brainstorm and su chi. Terese Nielsen released 2 posters as well that had a bunch of cards with the altered art. I liked the various force of wills.

I took a bunch of pictures of the really bad ass alterations that I saw at Gencon, to include Kyle's Will, FoF, and Forces, one or two of the BHWC's Forces and others, and just some other bad ass stuff. I still don't have them developed yet, but will do it this weekend so I can post them here, or link to them, so they aren't fucking shit up  |

This isn't quite a normal card w/ altered art, but still...  I took the picture of the chestburster plushie sitting on my table, then used some Photoshoppery to make it green and frankenstein the card together. I'm planning on making beast, soldier and angel tokens as well (eventually). They don't take that long (this one was only 4-5 hours' work), so I should be posting up the others soon. On a side note, the picture is huge because I worked on it at 300 dpi (so it's already sized to print). Hope someone enjoys it, or better yet, starts using them. |

I like seeing Eye of Sauron Sol Rings because I have the first one that ever existed. At Origins two years ago, I asked Tedin to do one for me and he said he'd never thought of doing that before. It now resides on a beat, revised Ring. The Eye looks pretty crappy but it's a one-of-a-kind so whatever : )

I commissioned Vroman to make this awhile ago since I completely lack all artistic talent. This is one of the nicest pieces of work he has done and it was exactly what I envisioned.  |

I saw a pretty good looking Osama Bin Laden based solemn simulacrum the other night...wasnt the most amazing thing ever, but in the context of it being part of a bazaar of baghdad deck it really just made perfect sense...the palm tree and Uzi were a nice touch...
of course the ninja turtle sakura tribe elders my buddy tony has are pretty hot...its Leonardo, Raphael, Donatelo.....and...Hitler!?! pretty hot though, heh...
The Da Vinci titan that Hi-val did for me is hot too...yes doug, at some point ill get a scan for you, heh...

Hey Limbo, have you seen the remaining 3 from the set yet? I had seen # 2 & 3, but somehow Ebay forgot to send me an email for the 4th one :S That last one is even cooler then the first one. If I could spare the money I would buy either the first or the last, as both are really awesome. /me drools over keyboard. I hope Ron Spencer comes to the Netherlands someday, so i can have him alter some cards from my collection of his art. I have every magic card he has drawn both regular and foil if possible (except for a foil Infernal Spawn of Infernal Spawn of Evil, somebody interested in helping me with that one?). |
