I have never watched as much TV as I do now. In the past I had only watched a few shows like family guy, south park, and the daily show. While I still watch those, I am finding that I like more stuff and I am watching it as well. Being done with my first major helps a lot too.

Two of the better shows I am watching now are The Office and Battlestar Galactica.

What do you watch?

Daily Show and Colbert Report are the only ones I watch with any regularity. I would watch Family guy, excpet its sucked lately, and American Dad, which hasn't, but I can just download those later.

My Name is Earl is the greatest show ever made.

CSI is pretty fucking solid.

I haven't watched Law and Order in a while, but that's just because I don't enjoy watching television, and watching the two above AND Law and Order is just too much time spent in front of that device.

Pardon The Interuption.
CSI - I really only like the original that is set in Las Vegas.
House
Daily Show
Colbert Report
Smallville
And that is pretty much it. I am afraid if I watch some of the newer shows I will spend my entire life in front of the TV.

Cool series (yes, I know they are pretty old compared with what is on tv now, but still very good):

Frasier
The Nanny
ST: Deep Space 9
ST: Voyager
Friends
Due South (the mounty would own Batman, if batman happened to drop a candy wrapper on the street)
Soutpark

Any brittish comedy, including:
The Office (so awesome)
Mr. Bean
Fawlty Towers
Blackadder

None.

Before the advent of Internet, I used to watch X-files with a passion, and I used to be somewhat of a Star Trek geek, too (mostly TNG). I year or two ago, I tried to catch every episode of Discovery shows like Scrapheap Challenge (to you americans: Junkyard Wars) and Robot Wars (to you americans probably either Protecting Democracy from Automatic Lifeforms, or Stopping Wolrdwide Remote-controlled Terrorism), but nothing took its place, really.

Nowadays, I don't watch TV anymore. I watch CSI, 24, and some old school sitsoms like Red Dwarf, Seinfeld and Frasier on DVD, but that's about it.

I like to watch TV in the time i have (which is not to much) so when i watch i want to watch something i like. So i buy it on DVD or get it from internet.

Some of the series i like:
Buffy the Vampireslayer
Angel
Due South
Babylon 5 plus all spinoffs
Friends
Seinfeld
Witchblade
The Pretender
Will and Grace
Blackadder (for those of you that like English humor and do not know this, find it, find it now)
Fawlty Towers (for those of you that like English humor and do not know this, find it, find it now)
Alias
Profiler

Star trek i like to the extend i can watch anything from that series.

And probably a lot more but i think this is enough for now. As said i like watching tv and i have a vast collection to watch from.

I try to make an effort to watch the following, except the last two, which I like, but I won't make too much of an effort to seek out:

The Family Guy
The Office
My Name is Earl
Lost
The McLaughlin Group, <3
Ebert & Roeper
60 Minutes (won't go out of my way)
The Simpsons (won't go out of my way)

That is all.

Not having cable/satellite makes it easy to not watch a lot of the idiot box.

This is the same public that decided that Everybody Loves Raymond, Friends, and Home Improvement were comedic genius.  Clearly, the public and I have a few things to hash out.  These differences that can best be addressed by my becoming Supreme Overlord of Taste for the United States (and possibly, later, the world).  I'm going to lobby Congress about this.

Also, I forgot 24 (I have no idea how!).  I am watching far too much television at the moment. Sad

Things I make a point to always watch and/or record and watch later
- Arrested Development (how people can make Survivor 23 a hit, but this gets cancelled/barely picked up, is beyond me).  I have the first two seasons on DVD.
- The Office (the US version.  Normally I like British comedy, but in this rare case, the US version is far funnier (to me, an American) than the British verison).
- Alias
- Scrubs

Things I will watch if it's on or my wife is watching

- My Name is Earl
- NFL Football
- College basketball
- Lost
- Daily Show/Colbert Report
- Prison Break (when it comes back on)
- Rome
- NBA Basketball

Shows I have on DVD
- Buffy the Vampire Slayer Seasons 1-7
- Highlander Seasons 1-5

I've seen all of both, and I consider them both to be extremely funny. It is important to note that ricky and steve took the show in different directions; the shows have much different styles and focus, and therefore a different appeal.

I watched the brittish version, and it is awesome. I am underway in acquiring the american version as well, If it half as cool as the brittish one it is definately worth the time Smile

I generally don't watch much TV, since I just download what I want to see :p

Right now I have completed and seen:
All star trek series
X-Files
Charmed (although I have to admit, it gets boring after a few seasons^^)
Threshold (Boooo! on the cancellation)

I have but still need to watch:
All 24-stuff. I've seen some, but not all, and I'm actually watching it right now :p
Quantum Leap
Sliders

I will most likely try and get Battlestar Galactica, since I heard some good things about it.

Oh, on a sidenote, I know for a fact that I saw all episodes of Friends and Fresh Prince of Bel-Air, but I don't have them on dvd or my hd right now.

I don't have a TV.

The only show I watch is Firefly, even though I don't have the first disc of the DVD box anymore (it was in my stolen laptop). A couple of years ago, I occasionally watched stuff like The Simpsons, South Park, Friends, Angel, Little Britain (yay for British humour!). TV just doesn't do it for me; there is the occasional highlight, like our esteemed German late night showman Harald Schmidt, and quality news reporting. Not reason enough to actually get a TV. (Watching major sports events, like the World Cup, is much more fun in company, too. Either friends or bars always have it running.)

I've not watched much TV for many years, most of my video entertainment is from movies.  That said I currently have the most shows on my list in some time.  They are:
Lost
The Shield
Battlestar Galactia

I have my Tivo set to record:

The Office
Lost
Grey's Anatomy
HBO Boxing

I also watch the occasional Seinfeld episode - despite the fact that I've practically memorized the series.  When channel-surfing, I typically go to Discovery, Science Channel, etc.

I need to catch My Name is Earl - everyone seems to be raving 'bout it.

I have been watching some of the US version. In general, I prefer the british humor above the american series. I kinda dislike how the boss in the american series, besides being childish and stupid, is a real arse, whereas the boss in the british version only is childish and stupid, but at least he had some kind of weird attempts at being nice. That is one of the defining traits that gives the british version its edge over the american one.

The tricks being pulled by Jim and Pam on Dwight are very cool though. But then again, the conversations that Tim and Dawn have with Gareth about "approaching men from behind with wood in his hand" are awesome as well.
