Its too bad that the two tourneys have conflicting time slots but I guess that is unavoidable.  Ill see if I can make it up, shouldn't be a problem though.

It should be a great time. This is the first convention we have ran the Magic for. I think it is going to have a good turn out. Hope to see a lot of you there.

"JDizzle" - Finally, we get along on our merry way.  Somewhere after that, Chad called me to complain about my driving…from 200 miles away.  His call made me dig for the phone, because finding it myself was going to be far more exciting than letting Reb do it for me, which caused the car to swerve a bit.  In retrospect, I guess Chad was right.  At that exact moment he called, my driving was, in fact, awful.  I really hate it when he’s right.

Any locals have a recommendation for a cheapish hotel room? Something under $60 a night would be excellent.

Also, anyone know the expected turnout for the Legacy event? I'd like to play and I'm trying to convince some friend to join me on a roadtrip from Michigan.

what was the turnout for this.  I know the type one tournament the day before had like 4-5 people show up.  I had planned on going to this but then my friends told me about the low turnout the day before so I didn't make the 3 hour drive.

Four people played, with about six showed up at one point or another. I won the four person round robin 3-1 after a "finals match" between myself and I believe Zoo or some other R/W/G? Aggro.

I played my FlameVault SS/b and beat Solidarity 2-0 (your list from D4D2 that made a number of mistakes (though none of them that would have affected the two games)), the Zoo-ish Aggro a combined 4 and (maybe) 1 (I don't remember much outside of topdecking a burning wish FTW on turn 3 twice), and I lost 1-2 to BW Confidant.

I made the three hour drive thinking there would be some more people, but the tournout ended up rather terrible, even if the decks that showed up were high-powered and some of the better builds I've seen playing Legacy.

The funny thing I remember about the matchups were that I was really fearing remand for some reason game 1 vs Solidarity and after likea  40 minute match, I ended up winning off Burning Wish -> Reconstruction -> Time Vault and dropping my 4th Stasis of the match FTW. The deck was really resillient for the amount of hate I brought against it. The second game wasn't too great as I went T1 Trinisphere, T2 Smokestack, T3 Crucible and he scooped as he was apparently going to miss a land drop.

It would have been fun playing against you, maybe sometime in the future.

My list?? I've never really worked with Solidarity you must be confusing me with someone else.  Anyway I'm glad I didn't go I just couldn't justify the drive if the turn out was anything like the type one.

How close are you to Richmond Indiana? thats where I usually play legacy on saturdays at a place called table top adventures www.worldofdorkness.com.

anyway congrats, too bad there wasn't a turnout.

I feel bad. Especially since I used to play your deck (Thanks for that deck btw, it has taken a Mox for a teammate). Somehow, I had yourself and Gearheart confused.

Unfortunately, I'm about 7 hours away in Flint, Michigan.
