I (obviously) like Force of Nature.

However, I also really like Benalish Hero (same artist, Douglas Schuler) and Jester's Cap (Dan Frasier).

Those are my top 3.

Obliterate is definitaly the greatest.  Though, Goblin Charbelcher, Vampiric Tutor, and Sol Ring definitaly give it a run for its money.

@ Matt - Higgenbotham is one of the best artists they've ever hired. I wonder whatever happened to him. Sad

My favorite artist is a primitive version of Higgenbotham: Amy Weber. (Okay, maybe not that Amy Weber.)

Favorite pieces include: [card]Time Elemental[/card] and [card]Concordant Crossroads[/card].

Then there's [card]Folk of the Pines[/card], who reminds me of an extremely pale and sexy girlfriend in college (she was from Maine, hence the snow and all).

I'm not a fan of the new art direction, but [card]Time Stop[/card] is really amazing. (Especially uncropped.)

A lot of John Avon's stuff is really gorgeous too.

Im not one to really pay that much attention to the art, but every now something jumps out at me.  I really dig Hand of Cruelty and Stasis, but my overall favorite piece of magic art has to be  Dandan.  I tend to like Drew Tuckers stuff in general, but this piece is awesome.  It took me forever to notice that theres more to it than the two wee boats.

For me, Time Walk is absolutely brilliant.

In the living room, Navidson discovers the echoes emanating from a dark, doorless hallway which has appeared out of nowhere in the west wall.

I completely third the statement on Higgenbotham being a great artist.

It's sad he only did four cards.  (the four mentioned above)

It seems like Wizards is going in a direction I definitely don't like.  I can't stand alot of Kamigawa block artwork.  The red commons are some of the worst looking cards in magic history.

Aye, but Ravnica picked it up a bit. I was at least reasonably impressed by the Heirarch art, and Glare didn't turn out too shabby. I haven't had a shot at guildpact to decide about the art.

For me I love the artwork on Mana Drain, and Force of Will is also pretty savage.
As far as lands I like that Island from saga pictured above but it has nothing on Unhinged Islands well unhinged lands in general are sweet.

Phelddagriff. I'm sorry, buts its my favorite art ever, and it has been my wallpaper since I bought the computer. I just love that purple hippo

Besides that, I think mana drain, and force of will are very, very well done, (and they just happen to be some of the best cards in the game)

I actually like the art nowadays, though it is still a far cry from the start of magic. I just hated the tempest-onslaught art, but it feels to me like their starting to backtrack to the older art style, which I appriciate. Anyways, thats my two cents

Thank you, Bram.  You made my job of finding the previous "favourite art" thread much simpler.

Black[card]Sengir Vampire[/card] (Torment)
Blue[card]Dissipate[/card]
Green[card]Elvish Ranger[/card] (Portal)
Red[card]Obliterate[/card]
White[card]Justice[/card]
Gold[card]Wee Dragonauts[/card]
Artifact[card]Pentagram of the Ages[/card]
Land[card]Tarnished Citadel[/card]

Since last time, Pernicious deed was bumped from Gold.  Those Dragonauts are just too darned cute!

I don't know if I even have a favorite card art anymore, though. There are too many good ones.
