Hello all,

I've come to a crossroad in my life and unfortunately I won't be able to spend time playing magic or posting for a long time, which may mean never again. This is an amazing community of people that I've learned an awful lot from, about magic and life in general. I just wanted to extend my thanks to everyone for giving me the opportunity to play this game with some great people. I would like to extend my thanks to Zherbus in particular for making this all possible, and the founders of Beyond Dominia for getting the ball rolling pre-TMD.

I know a lot of you think of this site as just some dumb place where people talk about cards, but I'd ask those of you who believe that to open up to the possibility that some of the relationships developed as a result of this website and magic have profoundly impacted and changed people's lives.

Thank you all again for everything,

Richard Mattiuzzo

Your great piece on Landstill was one of the first articles I read when I started getting into Vintage magic. Thanks for your contributions, and take care.

While I'm still pretty new here with respect to the other people who have replied on this thread, I can say that your presence has been missed as of late, and will continue to be missed in the future.

Good luck in whatever it is you are going to do.  I wish you only smooth sailing in your future endeavors.

Indeed. It's been a blast seeing your posts, discussing with you and meeting you irl in 2004. Take care in your future life Richard.

Whoa, sigh... this really sucks. You were the absolute scariest opponent anyone could face at this game, Rich. You will be sorely missed.

That being said, let's start convincing you to come back. Smile

Just know that, if for whatever unfathomable reason you should ever visit The Netherlands, you'll always have a place to stay. Unless ofcourse I'm out of the country. Or, you know, dead. Well, I'm sure you get the drift. Best of luck in all your endeavours!

Canada is losing one of its best players and Vintage is losing someone who approched the game in a different way, who would not bow mindlessly to the ideas of others. For that Richard, you deserve my unconditional respect. Your dedication to innovation will be missed.

Hopefully, we'll meet again, someday, on the tourney scene. Good luck with your future plans!

You were one of the best the community has to offer.  Good luck and hopefully all of our paths will cross again Smile

BTW, you were very right about the game impacting people's lives and whatnot, something I hope everyone can appreciate.
