Just a note that Myriad Games just received a shipment of new Myriad T-Shirts, so even those of you who have won a shirt in the past will be able to win a new one. To clarify the format for the Myriad Games T-Shirt Challenge - I will play as time permits during the event, usually in the later rounds. First priority goes to available players who have never won a T-Shirt and then proceeds to other available players. You can win a new T-Shirt (a style you did not have before) every 6 months. Naturally players are welcome to play for fun if everyone who would like to challenge has already had a chance to play. Looking forward to a great tournament!

I'm hoping to be able to be there. As long as I get some friends to come along (2 hour car rides with nothing but Geddly Lee's voice wailing over my car radio is too much without a crowd in the car to talk to ) and nothing else happens I should be able to make it. Hope to see you all there. -Marek

Solid.
Just a note for those of you who haven't been to Myriad Games before. We're very easy to get to, just a quarter mile left off Exit 2 of I-93, just over the NH border, about 30 minutes north of Boston.
We'll look forward to seeing everyone here!

I don't think i can make it now , since the big dig tunnel in boston started falling apart its now closed off. A normal hour and a half drive is now going to take 3 and a half hours having to go around the tunnel, and since my license expires at midnight I don't think theres another way. I hope to be able to come to your next tournament though. I've heard good things about the store and the tournament itself. Hope to see you all soon. -->Marek

I dunno if I'm more surprised to hear that U/W fish won the whole thing or that Ray played Grim Long. Gratz to those who top 8'd.

I was proud to be the first person in north america to get infinite turns with mizzuim/time vault, and then quickly die 2 turns later after flipping sundering titan from confidant, and then the following turn flip triskelion from confidant after being at 14 life. the only 2 things in my deck costing more then 3. Hooooray !!!!
this tournament was still awesome, 45 people showed, and the prize support turned out to be awesome.
on a side not, driving around lost in new hampshire looking for a d'angelos with feinstein, we were strangers in an unholy land.

on another note,
I played a MD-Gifts w/ GG Repeal tech w/ Nate P's sekret lava dart/anti welder/storm builder extraordinar (minus) 61'st card w/ Travis Laplante approved/owned and designed final choices
that I'm going to name Nataz' Gifts.dec (and will sue anyone who calls it otherwise...I'm a lawyer you know)
I found it excellent, but my 4-2 was wanting. The Top 8 U/W Null Rod + Chalice + MMage fish pwd me after a savage mis-SB on my part, and then of course I am terrible with skeletal scrying.
BTW
DID YOU KNOW BRASSMAN IS THE BEST VINTAGE PLAYER IN THE WORLD?! What Izzit about him that makes him so good?

RAWR I did indeed play Grim Long...and I did indeed top 8 despite having never played the deck. I am not giving up on Staxless Stax...I just forgot the deck at home. Also, the look on Kyle's face when I opened up like Staxless Stax would, but then busted out first turn Bargain was priceless.

I was once asked on MWS, what the highest I ever finished at a TMD Open was. I replied, "I've never played in a Waterbury. I was then called "A TOTAL NOOB!"

I so wish I was at this. Instead of enjoying Type 1, I was losing horribly in VS (Friends forced me to go to th 10K). Don't worry, thats the last time I'll skip Magic for VS. Ever!

I actually had to explain to someone why Mana Drain was better than Counterspell. That was depressing...
Then they asked why Black Lotus was better than Gilded Lotus. I walked away.
