Game 2 Play a turn 1 simulacrum off Volcanic jet mana crypt, he play land sap kataki I upkeep simulacrum and jet off crypt and strip his land and play a welder and a few turns later get a crucible into play and and gifts for the win

Game 3 I play a turn 1 volcanic mox he plays a kataki and I dart it EOT the following turn he plays a mage on thirst I pyro it EOT and draw a tinker with Fow back up and clear his board with titan.

Round 3 CS Edmund(sp?) this guy is the best opponent I had all day and is funny too

Game 1 we both get mana screwed and he get tinker Colossus

I didn't see too much of his deck to know what he is playing so I put it on gifts

Game 2 he plays an Early welder and I EOT go broken or something drawing then tinker for slaver on my turn and mystical for thirst to start wrecking his hand and use his welder to make slaver happen again and he scoops to a the yawgwill I thirst into

Game 1 in this game he tinkers for DSC I gifts for 3 tutors and something else I get the Merchant scroll and Demonic tutor and scroll up Echoing truth to bounce Colossus and Demonic gor Will and Will tinkering up Titan for the Win

Game 2 he plays first turn library I strip it and my next following turn lay my own library which goes un contested and soon play a mana crypt and a bunch of thirst. I draw about half my deck in about 5 turns and take alot of damage from crypt but tinker it away and resolve Will.

Game 1 he doesn't get much of anything going on and I beat down with shaman, welder, trike and tokens

I like your build. I tested a bit with it on mws last night. I plan on running it in the next tournament I play in, hopefully this weekend.

I would like to hear your thoughts on these issues.

1) Why 4 Delta 1 Strand? This opens you up to being hosed by needle. Would you recommend 3/2 now?

2) Is the extra blue source in Seat of the Synod worth playing over the Darksteel Citadel...which is clearly better against stax. Do you have a "minimum blue source count" that you go for when building the manabase?

3) The one other change I wanted to make was -1 monkey +1 welder. Did you find that you were seeing welder enough to enable an early broken mindslaver? My fear is that the acceleration and draw will be there, but welder or slaver won't. How comfortable are you with only running 3x welder and 1x slaver?

4) I appreciate you showing your sb decisions in the report, and for showing the deck in general. Thanks.

I was very disappointed that I couldn't attend this event.  and I'm glad it went down smothly.

Yeah, I was pretty frustrated with both the draws I got and the draws you got.

You picked up your cards game one after the Chalice, when my hand was 5 lands. All I had beating down was a Stormscape Apprentice. I kept a 4 land hand and drew some more. You might have won that game, I really had nothing but a Wasteland.

In the other game I had to make decisions on what creature to cast, and with a red up, I decided Meddling Mage gets Red Blasted. So instead Kataki gets Lava Darted? I didn't expect that.

Then, to make things completely terrible, I ID'd the last round in 6th place (against someone that was in 7th or 8th,) and I finished 9th. Clearly this was my punishment for being an ass all day.

Anyways, good job on the win.
