Hi there,

I know it's stupid question, but please can anyone tell me how does the dragon deck kills?

I mean the decklist from last Rochester P9 tournament....

1 Black Lotus
1 Mana Crypt
1 Mana Vault
1 Mox Emerald
1 Mox Jet
1 Mox Pear
1 Mox Ruby
1 Mox Sapphire
1 Sol Ring

Artifact Creatures
1 Sundering Titan

Creatures
1 Eternal Witness
4 Worldgorger Dragon

Enchantments
3 Animate Dead
1 Dance Of The Dead
3 Necromancy

Instants
1 Ancestral Recall
1 Cunning Wish
1 Entomb
4 Force Of Will
4 Intuition
3 Read The Runes
1 Vampiric Tutor

Sorceries
3 Deep Analysis
1 Demonic Tutor
3 Duress

Basic Lands
1 Island
1 Swamp

Lands
4 Bazaar Of Baghdad
1 Flooded Strand
4 Polluted Delta
1 Tropical Island
4 Underground Sea

Sideboard:
3 Chalice Of The Void
2 Engineered Explosives
1 Sundering Titan
4 Xantid Swarm
1 Pernicious Deed
2 Echoing Truth
1 Repeal
1 Stroke Of Genius

Only with the Wish/Stroke? Is it enought?

And one more question. Is it possible to play this deck without a p9? (4 bazaars and lotus as proxies)

Thanks...

Yes, Wish -> stroke is the main kill.  You can also use Ancestral Recall if you need to - see here for details.

Using the "search" function is your friend.

Yes, it's possible to play a budget dragon deck, but I'm not sure this blue-heavy version is the way to go - most of the spells here are more expensive than other budget version (i.e. Mono black or black/green).  You might want to look through some of the old threads, then if you have a more specific idea of what you'd like to discuss, post that.

yes you can run a very reliable version without power...i still get 1st turn kills about 2-4 times in 8 matches at local tournaments..

and at tournaments in Kansas City i have gotten top 8 finishes quite often.

dragon is one of the easiest decks to rules lawyer people with.  Very easy for a beginner if you yourself know exactly how the cards in your deck interact with the rules.  Alot of players who don't know which worldgorger trigger to respond to you can sneak game wins by them many times.

Ok..thanks....And do you think that Elvish Spirit Guid is good acceleration for non power? One thing I don't like on this deck is his weakness with disenchant effect. If you don't have force you lost all your permanents. Also only one Tormod's Crypt can destroy your deck easily...
