Silverback G Creature - Ape
If you control any mountains, Silverback gains +1/+2.
1/1
I always wished green would have a version of Kird Ape.

Well, It would be nice, but its a bit like giving red/green 8 Kird Apes in total.
The card itself is balancem but I dont know how balanced it would be for red/green decks nowadays, especially since Kird Ape is Type 2 again.

Yes,Tarmogoyf is probably better than Chameleon Colossus, but comparing it to Tarmogoyf is like comparing your girlfriend to Carmen Electra - one's versatile and reliable, the other's just big and cheap.(And you'd run both if you could get away with)

Maybe it could be the mirror of Kird Ape: Dirk Ape Creature - Ape Dirk Ape gets +2/+1 as long as you control a Mountain. 1/1

Dirk Ape is far superior to Kird Ape. A 3/2 for G is too unacceptable.
Let's not make a Kird Ape Doppelganger. It isn't necessary. How about, instead, we make a card that is Green that gets some other bonus for controlling a mountain?

Maybe make it a legendary creature to give it another minor drawback

how about legendary creature - ape If you control a mountain, cardname gets +1/+1 If you control a plains, cardname gets +1/+1 I endorse this version of the card. Although it has the potential to be very strong, it will never be any better than a first turn 2/2 with the possibility to grow into a 3/3. That's very strong, but it is legendary and requires you to be playing with three different colours of land. In limited, that is going to be a severe restriction on when and how this card is powerful. In constructed, it is going to require a specialized deck to fully take advantage of this card. And, ultimately, because it is legendary, it is self-limiting.

Did you know that Red is the color or art and music and passion? Combine that with Green, the color of nature, spiritualism, and community and you get a hippie commune of drum circles, dreamcatchers, and recreational drug use. Let's see that win a Pro Tour.

What if we let the legendary fall?
just make it an ape?
or make it
If you control a mountain, cardname gets +1/+1 If you control a plains, island or swamp; cardname gets +1/+1

I would not like that card. As a legendary creature with the ability to become a 3/3 when you have the affiliated lands out, I think it's okay. That's about as strong as I'd like for this to get, though. Obviously, if we make this legendary, it'll need a flavour overhaul. I'd be happy to help provide that.
