This was a deck that made finals at a mox tournament in my store. I sleeved it up but I will leave it to work on other things. It's fairly viable, a little slow, but certainly can be improved on.

Basically I saw Grand Arbiter Augustin IV and knew he was balls to the wall on paper.

Here was my latest list:

3x Grand Arbiter
3x Exalted Angel
3x Meddling Mage
4x Serendib Efreet
4x Stormscape Apprentice

4x FoW
4x Brainstorm
3x Misdirection
3x Daze
3x Null Rod
1x Ancestral Recall
1x Time Walk

Mana:
3x Ancient Tomb
4x Flooded Strand
4x Tundra
1x Plains
3x Island
3x Wasteland
1x Strip Mine
7x Solomoxen

SB:
4x Chalice Of The Void
3x Sword Of Fire And Ice
3x Arcane Lab
3x Energy Flux
2x Kataki

This was the last list I was working on. It has a faster clock than fish but can be clunky at times. There were other versions we built like with Trinket Mage, Sword Of Fire And Ice. Even tinkered with TFK a bit. Grand Arbiter is an absolutely wonderful card. The mana cost is a bit rough around the edges but the effect can be balls to the wall game breaking. We even played Armaggedon at one point, and it seriously wasn't bad at all. Since no one plays around it. Ancient Tomb is probably a very underutizlized card in aggro in this format.

Enough blabbering... Discuss away

Doesn't arbiter affect, uhhh, 5 cards in your entire decklist (efreets and time walk) ?  Is the sphere of resistance really that good on a smaller-than-hill-giant guy?

I tried looking for Kataki and grand arbiter on wizards, but it said "cards not found"

can anyone explain to me what they both do?

@ decklist, I would definately play 4 mages. a mage with a good cardname can win you games.

Yes,Tarmogoyf is probably better than Chameleon Colossus, but comparing it to Tarmogoyf is like comparing your girlfriend to Carmen Electra - one's versatile and reliable, the other's just big and cheap.(And you'd run both if you could get away with)

Is Azorius Guildmage worth consideration? I know it does the same thing as Stormscape Apprentice only more expensive, but it gives you a 2/2 body that can attack while subduing the mighty Collosus. The ability-countering ability would probably come in handy quite often, too.

How about choosing a non-legend creature? Otherwise he is a UG instant Wrath of Frog.

I voted for Smmenen!

Why are you playing with so many flat-out bad cards?  By the time that you play Augustin, who is worthless in your deck, Angel, which was last played competitively before Steven Menendian was born, or Efreet, who will deal 3 points of damage on turn 4 (!), you will either be dead or locked.  Replace these cards with more aggressive creatures in order to make the deck good, and you essentially have what Team Meandeck made more than a year ago.
