Over 100 people (106!) Kowal is out with Orlove Reanimator after round 6 losing to IGGy and Angel Stompy. Osyp is there playing Iggy. Herbig and his twin brother are there, with Tide (and doing fairly well). The GWB pile formerly known as not Truffle Shuffle and also not Thunder Bluff is doing well (Elgin is nearing T8). Chang is out after 2-2 with Madness.

Also apparently SonataOfTheCathedral was 6-0 in matches, 12-0 in games with Rb Goblins (Dralnu's Crusade?) until he dropped from lack of interest. I'm going to save everyone a trip to gatherer and just post the card here. --Matt Oh hey, I spelled it right! ... Or not.

WTF, he dominates the tournament and then decides to stop. He must explain this kind of idea! It is good to see so many people supportingTML Open. It seems that it is actually very encouraging becuase there seems to be more 1.5 dispersed around the country than 1 so to get that many people is fantastic!

Hey guys it's Elias, I didn't exactly go 6-0 drop. But I had a shot at top 8 and dropped due to lack of interest, basically 5-2 taking 11th probably, I played two Reanimator decks and ACTUALLY KILLED A PHANTOM NISHOBA TWICE IN ONE GAME!!!
Yeah, Dralnu's Crusade is ten times better then every card I've seen in a Goblins sideboard so far vs hate. Why? Heres why...
Pimp slaps Silver Knight Pimp slaps Plague (Since Goblin King says "SWORDS ME") Nice Blue Blast chump Makes Lackey eat 1/1 Mongeese (Actually mattered) Your dudes can live through Pyroclasm and Infest, neat eh?
Also better players need to play Gobins, it would DOMINATE the format. I haven't played Legacy in forever, but Goblins has such broken mechanics man. Also most Goblin players I saw were just terrible, what is really up with that?
For the record, this is the fourth tournament besides Waterbury (actually played through top 8) that I potentially had it to make top 8, but stopped due to lack on interest. I need motivation.
Heres what I ended beating also if anyone is interested...
Red Death Sea Stompy Threshold Goblins Mirror (Rich Meyst former pro tour player, like myself) That B/R thing that was 4-0 with Tsabo's Decree
Ashok pulled a game out of his ass vs me with Reanimator as well, just the luck of the draw I guess.
The only black card I played was Crusade, thought about Therapy in the board but decided not to.

The top 8 was at follows:
2 threshold (both RUG)
2 reanimator
1 goblins (rw)
1 faiery/sea drake stompy
1 affinity
and....
1 red/green beats... piloted by unidentified masked man
MATCHES:
Quarters:
threshold beats reanimator (ashok)
affinity beats reanimator
goblins beats other threshold
Seadrake stompy /w stax components (chalices, trinisphere, juggernaut over sea sprite) beats anonymous gree/red beats player in heartbreaking 3 games. Unidentified green/red player promptly sets deck on fire.
Semis:
Goblins beats affinity
Threshold beats seastompy stax
Finals:
Goblins beats Threshold.
Nice original finals :p
Of note was zero combo making top 8. Not much iggy showed, but good players were piloting it, such as osyp. It didn't appear to go deep. Solidarity on the other hand was plentiful. The guy credited with creating it (gerhardt?) top 16'd. Decent amount of madness showed, including Roland, but it did not hold up late in the tournament.
The tournament had 110 people. Considered a success on all levels in my book.
This just in, I have received a telegram from a player claiming to be the unidentified masked man who t8'd with GR beats. He informs me a tourney report will be going up soon. He mentions playing Scab-Clan Mauler. I laugh at this scrub.

UGRW Threshold T8ed and lost to Goblins
facts: -i top 8'd and lost to goblins -said goblins went on to win a lot more than i did -closest...match...ever myths: -the deck included white -the deck gives me pyroclasms when needed -stp > fledgling dragon another great tournament run by the one and only mr ray robilard. everyone should shake this man's hand and thank him for almost single-handedly making sure we still have an eternal community i'll consider a tournament report in the coming days

-the deck included white -the deck gives me pyroclasms when needed Whoops. Ben Kowal told me it was 4 color. Also, the lack of Pyroclasms is why both Threshold lists lost to Goblins? UGR is favored versus the little men. Also, Dave, Jay, post lists.

- Dave Feinstein If there is only one report I read from this event, I want it to be this one. Second on the list is the Sea Drake Stompy Stax report. Everything else seems kind of old, stale, been there done that, this report sounds familiar, lame.

Second set of Myths -
The finals contained UGR Thresh. Nope, It was UGW.
A random piloted it. Nope, it was me.
Jeff, a player from Rochester, NY (not sure if He's regged) and I split prizes in the Finals, him taking a Sapphire, me taking an Imp. Seal plus packs for both. I'm writing a report, I'll post it here and on the Source.

The finals sounds awesome. I'm awaiting the play by play.
Reanimator makest top8? Affinity beats reanimator? Someone other than Roland plays madness?

The finals were kind of a blow out. I didn't even summarize them in my report, because after we split the prizes, I didn't really care anymore and played awful. Someone told me I could have won one of the games, but I didn't even pay attention to it. Jeff played great, and deserved to win. Congratulations to him!
