Anything?

The next time these go down, I'm getting cell phone numbers just so I can stay on top of developments. It's already mid-Sunday and we don't know who or what won Day 1 or what the Top 8 looked like. Weak.

Im assuming that the people lucky enough to live close enough to go to this event are too busy playing and trading then to get online and let us out-of-towners in on their little tournement.

The only info I found for now is a report (day 1) on The Source. Some info, althought vague, is given about the metagame and the Top8 for day one. Here's the link:

I've got a prediction. This will be the last major tournament that Goblins will dominate. The legalization of Time Spiral will change the format forever. A combo winter is coming.

I'm not convinced Time SPiral adds any cards that let Tide/Iggy beat Gro/Thresh.

More discussion on SCG.  I will post a report tomorrow.

Did they unban Necropotence, or something? Becuase the sheer drawing (and waiting four turns,) that Ancestral Visions offers, really does not seem good enough. Maybe there is some bomb in Time Spiral that I missed. Or... more likely, this is the same as every other winter, where people claim combo shall reign.

The problem is that Ancestral Visions is only good turn 1, and since the only combo deck that goes off turn 4 is Solidarity, and I don't think it was a Sorcery.  Otherwise, the combo decks are already racing that card.

Wherever an Ancestral or whatever is suspended, you can bet there will be a Meddling Mage chanting against it. With his middle fingers prominently displayed.

Goblins will always kick the shit out of Legacy. It has such a reliable and degenerate mechanic.

They might as well have unbanned Necro, because TS gives a new draw engine that is even better in the right deck.  You guys really need to read the type 1 forums.

Goblins dominance will soon be over.

Magus? While he might or might not see place,he certainly takes a lot more setup than Necropotence. Necro was so insane because it could go into a deck without having a single other card in the deck be "wasted" -- every card in Trix was good even without a Necropotence in play. The same won't be likely true of Magus. Not a bad card at all, but by no means a Necropotence.
