Looking for people to trade codes with when I get fucked or they get fucked and a rescue needs to take place. Figured I'd look for other TMDers to help out before heading off to some bigger site where I'm not involved at all.

Also looking to trade info.. since there's no good FAQs out yet.. for instance, how the hell do I acquire a Snorlax, the most jeek-like of all Pokemon?

That MaRo had the audacity to taint the good name of the Rakdos by including a justification for HoFLong in their article.

I was playing Red Rescue Team, but stopped after I beat the main mission (that ending is such a cop out), so I'm probably no help for rescues in the endgame dungeons.  The most useful PMD:RRT FAQ on Gamefaqs has the distribution of items and Pokemon listed by floor for each dungeon.  It says you can find Snorlax in levels 11-14 of the Howling Forest Dungeon.  His friend area is the Energetic Forest.

I'm trying to help because Snorlax is my favorite cartoon character ever.  After all, only Snorlax can pull ten pokemans.

Snorlax is found blocking you from entering certain locations earlier in the game. There is one preventing you from reaching the docks and another in the way of leave Viridian City and going down that mad long path. DUH.

Note: You must use an Ultra Ball to capture Snorlax, if not a Master Ball, but I highly recomend saving it so you can clone it 400 times with that cheat code.

Pokemon > everything.  Rolling Eyes

yeah i am real bored in here in Study, my hand broke in like four places so they make me sit in here by myself and skip Gym. woo

Wrong game, man. Pokemon Mystery Dungeon doesn't feature the capturing of Pokemon. Wink

jeek, how is the game?  I kind of got back into Pokemon once I bought a DS Lite and went ahead and beat Emerald and LeafGreen and i'm waiting for D/P to hit the US.

Is this game actually worth my money?  I'm torn between the new Mech Assault game and importing Osu! Tatakae! Ouendan...

And I'm always looking for more people to play in Metroid Hunters...

Pokeyman?

For reference, here is the link jro posted again - http://db.gamefaqs.com/portable/gbadvance/file/pokemon_fnd_red_dungeons.txt (gamefaqs does not allow direct linking to any area of their site other than the main page so you must do the whole copy/paste thing)

As for Snorlax, who "fuckin' owns you":
Quote from: Terence Ferguson
Where To Get
============
Recruit at:   L25 in Howling Forest (Floors 11-14)

Although Snorlax is listed as evolving from Munchlax at L40, there is
no possible way to recruit Munchlax, and thus no way to gain a Snorlax
through evolution.  Furthermore, even if it were possible to recruit
him, Munchlax lacks the data necessary to make the evolution work.
http://db.gamefaqs.com/portable/gbadvance/file/pokemon_fnd_red_pokedex.txt

As for its how good it is, it's gotten a wide range of reviews. Most of the people who think lowly of it don't like the fact that it's a classic pokemon game, where you walk around in tall grass, fight gym leaders, bitchslap Team Rocket, completely humiliate your rival and the Elite Four at the end of the game, then catch Mewtwo (or whatever overpowered pokemon they have in the new versions) and pwn your freinds' teams. However, most people who enjoy the game give it a decent 8/10. I myself have not played it - I'm holding out for FFIII - but it looks quite intriguing.

Oh, and it's Vermillion City, not Viridian.

Damnit, I thought that for once in my life I would actually come in handy.  Sad

Just a question, what the hell is everyone talking about then?

I did the exact same thing. I'm always glad to see people that can get past the cartoon. Pokemon games have a surprising amount of depth. Designing, then breeding for and training a team takes a lot of thought and time.

This. The basic premise of the storyline is that you get turned into a pokemon in a world inhabited only by pokemon and form a rescue team with other pokemon. Instead of catching them, you have to convince them to join your team (after beating them in battle?). It actually reminds me of the plot of FF Tactics: Advance.

The big new thing (other than story-wise) is that now you can link moves together. For example, you could link a water move to a grass move to deal tons of damage to rock and ground types. You could link a move that lowers your speed with Agility or Quick Attack to compensate. You could link Recover to Light Screen to regain HP and boost defense.

It's basically a Pokemon-themed nethack/slashem game. Turn-based dungeon exploration with a team of 1-4 Pokemon, put out by Chunsoft.
