Feist's album The Reminder. It features the song 1234, which is the song in that new iPod nano commercial.
I like Feist and I may even be going to see her soon, but damn, that song got overplayed because of the commercial. I mean, when it's in my signature, you know it's dead. Quite frankly it's not my favorite song on the album anyway. I'm glad it was good enough to make me seek out the rest.

I'm quite liking Feist's music. Her voice is quite unique/cute and exhudes her love of music, and her work puts her into that rare world of say, Bjork, to me. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zWrNCCx2p5UThis isn't her best video, but is a great treat. Enjoy!

I enjoyed the '1234' song by Feist, and downloaded the album from Limewire. Honestly I did not much care for the rest of the songs. It had some highs, and I would say that four songs probably made it onto my Ipod --but I was disappointed to say the least.
Right now I am really, really enjoying Sujfan Stevens. Anybody who hasn't at least listened to the "Come on and feel the Illinoize" album should check out some of the songs.
I would recomend "They are Night Zombies" as a good starting point.

Soo... Can we all agree that Feist's best album is obviously "Let it Die?"
If so, then I must say, Mushaboom is probably one of the best things I have ever listened to.
I'm listening to Michelle Branch right now. God, it's soo classic.

Silversun Pickups - Lazy Eye Nada Surf - Popular OKX, a compilation of bands covering all of Radiohead's OK Computer. Have you heard Silversun Pickups' "Well Thought Out Twinkles"? I saw them live a couple weeks back, it's pretty energetic seeing it in person.

I am going to see Ellis Paul tonight with Justin Droba at the Ark in Ann Arbor. For anybody not familiar with his work, he is surely an American Treasure. I recomend his greatest hits (a double lp) as a good jumping off point. "Wake up Gracie" and "Paris is a Day" are both fantastic tracks.

Two major players since I last posted:
-Tom Waits, Frank's Wild Years -Into the Wild OST, entirely by Eddie Vedder. It is MOST EXCELLENT and you would be REMISS not to ACQUIRE it FORTHWITH.

Andew Bird - Tables and Chairs Girl Talk - Night Ripper Elliot Smith - Between the Bars The National - Karen
A side question for the other music junkies out there: what player have you found to be the best?
iTunes is too clunky, Windows Media Player handles pretty well, but doesn't have much for options. In spite of the bugs I liked MusicMatch until I found Media Monkey. Monkey has been the best so far (has the most bells and whistles), but I need something that can move faster while carrying 15,000 or so songs.
