Needs name - 1U
Instant
Draw a card,
then search your library for a card named -Needs name- and put it into your hand.
This card is like a miniature draw-engine, it nets you +1 CA, It kinda reminds me of both think twice and accumulated knowledge.
Is this too good?
Current wording:
Fundamental Education - 2U
Instant
Draw a card,
Search your library for a card named Fundamental Education and put it into your hand, then shuffle your library.

It's pretty good. It would probably be 2U sorcery in today's world. Compulsive Research (sorcery) nets +1CA with the right discard, and TFK (instant) nets +1CA with the right discard as well. With this you get +1CA, but the second card is always a specific card, so it's not as beneficial as the other 2 (since they can draw ANY two cards), but they both have drawbacks for a specific discard, so they are pretty close...
You could probably push it to 2U instant and make it uncommon, or 2U sorcery at common.
Or, you could tweak the card a little...something like:
Draw a card. Then search your library for ~Named Card~ and put in it your hand. Then discard a card.
So basically, if you didn't like what you drew, you could discard the drawn card and try again. If you did like it, discard the other copy of Named Card. A card like this would be around a 1U instant common (similar to sift through sands, which is better, but more expensive).

This is basically "Draw 2", but it's slightly worse than Counsel of Soratami. 2U Instant, but very elegant.
"Fundamental Education" for the name?

I like that name! But are you sure its necessary to up the cost? I realize that its an engine, but its dead slow.

I like the card. I think it needs to be a sorcery, at least. My gut tells me this should be   , but I could see it at  as well. I think it would depend on what other blue card draw is in a set with it. |

At 2U as a sorcery this feels worse than Counsel of Soratami, especially since after paying two of them (4UU) you get a much worse effect than Tidings. 1U Sorcery feels a bit too powerful (especially with Locket of Yesterdays), so I'd rather a 2U Instant.

I don't think of this card as a worse Counsel of the Soratami. It's more like a Think Twice that you can flash back three times. I don't think it would be unfair at instant, but it would be very strong. |

1U sorcery or 2U instant is both alright with me...i think i'll vote for the 2U instant version..its less abusable and better on its own.
