If anyone needs help doing the Hunt quests, let me know.  I've basically finished all of them at this point.  Some other helpful pointers:

1.  The Belito hunt only has one fight in it, so don't hold back.  (You'll know what I mean when you get there)

2.  Check the Muthru Bazaar after you get the Ward of Justice rank and higher.  They have some amazing stuff.

3.  It's worth unlocking all 3 Quickenings as fast as possible once you get the useful Augment licenses.  This is doubly true for heavy magic users, since unlocking the second and third ones double and triple your MP, respectively.  Just equip Gold Amulets and fight strong random enemies and/or mark hunts, since they provide a large number of LP.

4.  As with any RPG, be extremely careful about equipping elemental weapons.  This is even more true in FFXII since the Gabmit system leaves you with less control over your characters, and you'll sometimes find yourself healing a boss with your Bravery'd, Hasted fighter using an elemental weapon.

5.  The above notwithstanding, some of the most powerful magics in the game are in the Green category.  Bravery, Faith, Protect, and Shell make battles immensely easier.  Learn them as soon as possible.

I really never used quickenings. I beat the game at level 64 or so, and it was stupidly easy, such that it was dissappointing. I haven't done all the hunts yet due to lack of time, but that certainly seems to be where any challenge in this game is.

P.P.S. I now realise that it is possible that you have mistaken Holland for Iraq as neither have weapons of mass destruction.

Level 64 is way, way, way, higher than you should have been upon reaching the final parts of the game. I got there at roughly level 45, and while it wasn't *too* difficult, it wasn't a walk in the park.

The quickenings aren't really necessary for any of the bosses encountered on the main storyline, but it's hard to imagine beating some of the higher-level marks without them since they become insane when almost dead. This might not even be the case for you though, since you're already so highly leveled.

I'm at roughly level 29 (Vaan is 31, everyone else is 28/29. Penelo and Fran are 26 only), and I'm heading into the Dungeon after the Tchida Uplands.   I've been chaining Couerl's to get pelts and level.  Right now, Vaan is doing around 900 with a plats sword, and Basch is doing around 800.

When you fight (spoiler, resize to view) Zeromus in the Stilshrine, use your mist attacks immediately, since your magic is blocked anyway, and it takes out his annoying sidekicks.  If they continue to be an annoyance, equip the Nihoharya (or whatever it's called) accessory and use Remedies on them.  Surprise!  With Remedy Lore, this inflicts every status effect in the game, including Disable.  They won't be an issue.
