I will try to make it to this, because The Beanie Exchange runs some quality events with strong competition.  I might not make it, because it will be the weekend of my birthday and stuff has a way of coming up.  All the same, I encourage everyone who can make it to attend; this is one of the better Tournament scenes in the region.

Shouldn't you be playing type II or something? BTW, I know it's been a while, but I thought you should know that Flame Vault doesn't work anymore.

25 players attended. After 5 rounds, the Top 8 looked something like this:

There were at least two Salvagers, two Mountains Win Again, and two Stax decks in the Top 8. I cut through five color Stax to get to Top 8 playing against Rob Moreau who I'd unintentionally drawn with in Round 2. He beat me in two games to make it into the Salvagers mirror for the final match.

There were mad cheatz and Mountains beatz along with much drama concerning the aforementioned cheatz. A full report will be coming later this week.

IHOP Buy 1 Get 1 Free Omelettes (Sunday nights from 4 - 10 PM) are delicious and filling.

Thanks to Dave for hosting.

and two Stax decks in the Top 8.

You called my deck Stax!

What an insult.

That is just plain low.

I thought we were friends.

Mea culpa. There were actually three Workshop decks in the Top 8.  Staxless Stax, Stax, and Stax. So that's four Stax(es) for those of you counting at home, it's just that two of them negate each other to total just two Stax. Stax less Stax plus Stax plus Stax = 2x Stax. Since Triskelion is actually a 0/0 with four +1/+1 Counters in Staxless Stax, I feel that the mistake was justified.  Wink

Lol...yeah...I was all over the board Sunday with my counters on things.  I often absentmindedly set 4 counters on Trisk because I am thinking about its power/toughness...but you were playing a match, so you missed when I tried to play a Tangle Wire with 3 counters because I was thinking about its CC.
