I made the following card b/c cause i thought it would be kinda cool to have a cool token creator that was relatively effective but can some damage to yourself.  Honestly, the war trenches from WW1 sparked the idea.  Having endless tide of soldiers just  flooding from the earth is so awesome.

War Trenches
Land
T:  Add 1 colorless mana to your mana pool.
T:  Put two 1/1 tokens into play, Treat these tokens as white soldier tokens.  War Trenches does two damage to you.  Damage dealt to you in this way cannot be prevented.
As the General looked on through the no-mans-land he saw nothing but the faces of thousands of soldiers pouring from the trenches beyond

I dont know if this card is way to powerful or not.  If it is i might want to consider adding a mana cost to token ability.  Let me know if this is a cool idea or not.

When Kjeldoran Outpost comes into play sacrifice a plains or bury Kjeldoran Outpost.
{T} : add {W}
{1} {W} {T}: Put a Soldier 1/1 white Soldier token into play under your control.

I would use this as a starting ground for creature generating Lands.  Making it tap for colorless only slightly balances out the "sac a plains" drawback... its a bit better because you can play your land on turn 1 with no drawback.

Now when it comes to the creature ability, this card is 2 mana, tap the land = 1 creature.

Yours is no mana, tap the land, 2 life = 2 creatures.

I think the main reason it's too strong is that it doesn't cost any mana and therefor you can use it turn 1.  If you played this land on turn 1 and 2, you could have delt 18 uncounterable damage by turn 4 with 10 dudes in play.    [0+2+6+10 = 18]

Also an opening hand of: War Trenches, War Trenches, Forest, Echoing Courage  is a 4 card turn 3 win.

I think additional drawbacks are needed.

Add Darijen, King of Keldor for some interesting token shannanigans. Tap the land to get 4 tokens for 2 life.

Isn't

1: Create 2 1/1 Soldiers.  Play this only once per turn.
A bit much?  That's functionally what this is.  Even at the cost of life loss, I feel this is a bit much.

I could see this card working more as a variation of man-lands, but substituting the land for tokens.

As in:

T, sacrifice this: put two 1/1 white soldier tokens into play, lose 2 life.

CoW? Very Happy
