Trying to come up with a good zombie card that might make zombie decks competative; here are a few ideas

Zombie Pathfinder  {B} {B}
zombie
Zombies you control have swampwalk
Pay 1 life, T: Target Land is a Swamp until end of turn
1/2
Rare

or

Zombie (still working on the name)  {1} {B} {B}
zombie-wizard
All zombies have fear
Pay 2 life, T: Target Black creature is colorless until end of turn
1/2
Rare

What do you guys think?

Zombie Pathfinder is very similar to Zombie Trailblazer...

Sorry, I added the P/T

I know that the pathfinder is similar to Trailblazer, the difference being that it gives all zombies the swampwalk ability, which is similar to Zombie Master.

I'm really just trying to think up a card that would put zombies over the edge, without getting too crazy. Maybe a zombie that just gave all zombies fear would be enough? If only Smogsteed Rider had been a cheap zombie...

and yes, I am familiar with Cover of Darkness.

Like I said, I'm really just trying to come up with a good zombie that would make everyone get that fuzzy feeling inside.
Like Lackey or Piledriver does for goblins.

Surprised)
Try:
Undead Lacky
{b}
When ~this~ deals combat damage, you may put a zombie from your graveyard into play.

Or
Zombie Ringleader
When ~this~ comes into play, reveal the top 4 cards of your library and put all zombie cards into the graveyard and all other cards on the bottom of your library.

Or:
Zombie Matron
Ok, you get the idea.

This doesn't seem like a good idea to me.  Goblins make people feel "fuzzy" because they're good to the point where just being a goblin is considered a bonus on a red creature.  The answer to making people feel good about zombies should not lie in trying to make them as powerful as goblins.

I have to admit that tribal themes don't really appeal to me.  I don't like it when a subset of cards discourages you from playing with cards outside the subset.

Generally speaking, here's how I like to see a card like this executed:

Putrefying Pathfinder
1BB
Creature -- Human Rogue
1/1

Nonzombie creatures you control have swampwalk.
{T}, Sacrifice a zombie:  Target land becomes a swamp until end of turn.

Did you know that Red is the color or art and music and passion? Combine that with Green, the color of nature, spiritualism, and community and you get a hippie commune of drum circles, dreamcatchers, and recreational drug use. Let's see that win a Pro Tour.
