I dont think green splash for rootmaze or a stax deck for stasis would be good.  It doesnt stop ichorid or flash creatures.  Orb of dreams is a possibility as mentioned but I think it hurts you too much to play, it would be too difficult to keep stasis going.
I think the mana drain option that was suggested with frozen aether is the key play.  Tormods crypt is a good idea for main decking I think, as I put in my build mentioned before.  Im still not sure about what a good land base is.
I'm running 4 Wasteland and 1 Strip Mine in my build; they've been working out great! The deck wants to stall the opponent as early as possible, so an early Wasteland or Strip Mine can really help and will prove valuable late game for destroying untapped lands once Stasis is out.

I dont think that Orb of Dreams is a good idea because while it does stop the opponents Fastbond+Gush it also stops you from using Fastbond+Gush at the same time. I am thinking something with Drain would be a good idea. I don't know if Tolaria West is that great an idea but in testing it is neat. Being able to get a long Forsaken City or Tabernacle or Crypt or Tolarian Academy is very nice. One thing I am debating on is whether or not to run main deck Null Rods. Should the deck run low artifact mana (i.e. 1 Lotus 1 Sapphire) and rely on 4 black vise and a few null rods to make Tolarian Academy good? Well, here is my disruption pacted list that I have been testing with so far:

Strip Mine   1
Snow-Covered Island   1
Forsaken City   1
Tolarian Academy   1
Flooded Strand   2
Underground Sea   2
Tropical Island   2
Polluted Delta   2
Island   2
Tolaria West   2
Stasis   4
Fastbond   1
Misdirection   2
Demonic Tutor   1
Black Lotus   1
Tormod's Crypt   1
Mox Emerald   1
Mox Pearl   1
Mox Ruby   1
Mox Sapphire   1
Sol Ring   1
Mox Jet         1
Vampiric Tutor   1
Black Vise   4
Brainstorm   4
Force of Will   4
Mana Drain   4
Daze   4
Gush   4
Ancestral Recall      1
Time walk             1

Total 62

*The deck is at 62 because I have been testing for Gencon and I don't own Recall or Time Walk

I've been having some success playing this list on MWS, although I havent done much testing. How would you make it better? I understand, stasis is nowhere near tier 1. But its a fun deck to play. It satisfies the sadist in each of us when it manages to go off.

Just for your amusement, here's the Stasis deck I've been playing with recently.

Stasis
// Search/Disruption
        4 Chalice of the Void
        1 Crop Rotation
        1 Vampiric Tutor
        1 Imperial Seal
// Blue
        4 Brainstorm
        4 Force of Will
        4 Daze
        3 Gush
        2 Stifle
        2 Chain of Vapor
        1 Ancestral Recall
// Lock/Kill
        4 Stasis
        4 Root Maze
        2 Black Vise (or Chronotog)
// Mana
        1 Black Lotus
        1 Lotus Petal
        1 Mox Emerald
        1 Mox Sapphire
        4 Forsaken City
        4 Underground Sea
        4 Tropical Island
        7 Island

I don't have time to go into individual card choices as I have to meet with some colleagues tonight; however, if I get a chance at work tomorrow, I'll go into more detail.  Hope this spurns some thought.
