FORMAT: Vintage

WHEN: Sunday, August 12 2007
WHERE: Black Gold (Near the JC Penney at the mall)
8501 W Bowles Ave
Littleton, CO 80123
(303) 936-3660

DECK REGISTRATION: 9:00 - 10:30 am
ROUND 1: 11:00 am
ENTRY FEE: $10

1st place - Unlimited Time Walk
2nd place - FBB (German) Volcanic Island
3rd place - 4x Force of Will

Come support the Colorado Vintage scene with the first power tournament since forever.
Only $10 gets you access to a killer prize pool and 15 proxies to help build your deck of choice. Proxies should be on basic lands or used with cards that have the same casting cost. All pertinent information should be on the proxy.

This tournament will be right before Gencon, so come get some valuable testing in against Vintage giants from the Colorado Crew, to include Vintage World Champion Travis Spero.

The bar will definitely be set high at this event, and I can't imagine anything less than a top 8 of nothing but the CC.

Carll, thanks for holding this event at your store!

The Colorado Crew has a lot to prove this time around.  If I remember correctly, I singlehandedly sent the Crew packing at the last tournament.  I think you guys are cracking under the intense pressure that the Black Gold Team puts down.   Very Happy

I was gonna respond to this a few days ago, but I just now stopped laughing.  None of that sanctioned bullshit this time so I expect everybody in CO to show up for this.  I'll be there reppin the Crew, Freakaleak and Meeeeaaaandeck to reclaim my Time Walk.  Anybody that tries to stand in my way gets mushroom stamped.  The chickens is comin home to roost y'all.

To hype this event even more, I'm prepared to give out a pack of 10th edition to anyone who beats me in the swiss! Spread the word peeps!

So, it has been about a year since the last proxy tournament in Colorado. This is the perfect opportunity to build practically any deck in the format. No power? No problem thanks to your sponsor “Crazy Lou”. $10 for the chance to win an UL Time Walk? Are you kidding me!?!? The prize support for this event is ridiculous.
If you live in Colorado and play Type One come on out we’d love to see you and show Carl what kind of a crowd the proxy scene can bring to Black and Gold the (un)official home of Vintage in Colorado.

Carl congratulations again on winning the last event, if you recall correctly I knocked myself right out of contention without your help, thank you. Perhaps we’ll get paired this go’ round so you can prove your mettle.

The tournaments at Black and Gold are always well run, if you play any other format and have considered trying out the grand daddy of ‘em all, please come down and see what all the fuss is about. You’ll have a great time I promise!

I'm going to be traveling with my friend Phil, who isn't into t1 too much, but will probably play.  As for anybody else, I haven't heard yet about other people building decks or anything.

Sounds good Dan, your buddy should be able to build something decent with the  {1} {5} proxies. Feel free to promote this event at Hobby Town, you know we do the same from you.

If this last week in the store is any indication....this will be one of Black Gold's biggest tournaments.  Our record attendence for a Vintage event is 48.  A fair number of people are trying to build decks at the last minute.  I feel bad for them since I'll have that Time Walk on eBay on the 13th  Wink

@Green Knight:  I won't need your help winning this tournament either! (that was cold)

The word is definitely getting out, and I think we are going to have a great turn-out. I've helped many people tune their decks for this event, many who have never played tye one, and they are quite stoked.

As I have said before, the Colorado Crew will be taking the power back, and will most likely be the entire top 8.

I have heard nasty rumors that Bob is going to be climbing that day, but I hope this is not true.
