That sucks, I hadn't even heard of this Erwin guy till I saw the poll last week when it was linked from Forsythe's column. My reaction was, honestly, "Who are these clowns? I know Flores and Cunningham and HOLY SHIT I'M VOTING FOR SMMENEN!"
Maybe with this strong a showing, you've got another shot next year.

A strong showing, and basically it came down to Starcity versus TMD. Turns out SCG has a higher readership, but Wizards has got to respect you commanding 20% of the vote. Good try, and maybe next year.

I believe a message was sent, loud and clear. Bill Stark, who was working the Gencon coverage, expressed his incredulous surprise at the results and said it spoke volumes about the Eternal community. I agreed.

In some months no one will laugh about vintage anymore and no one will say we can't play (as we have Menendian playing for us... Probably figuring out a T2 1st turn kill combo deck... or limited.)
And no, please don't create a card for a format about men as someone suggested.
At least make for vintage about women.
