Right in my backyard - awesome.

There'll be shit going down at 184 Green the night previous.  If GG's want to miss the T8 again, I can have the speedquarters table ready.

Just to answer a few of the questions that have been raised.

1) Lorwyn will NOT be legal for this event.  The date that sets are legal after release is almost always two weeks after.  Even though Lorwyn is a bit weird in the cycle of release this will not change for this event.

2) Food and drink will be served all day at the site.

3) There is parking available behind the store.

4) Quicken + Tendrils = GG

Please feel free to ask any more questions or concerns that you may have.

Unless I'm mistaken, whenever a new set is released, it becomes legal in all formats on the 20th of that month. This has been the standard since Mirrodin.

After some investigation I stand corrected.  The Lorwyn prerelease was 1 week later than usual.  However, this does not affect the Constructed-legal timing of Lorwyn.  Thanks for the correction.

LORWYN WILL BE LEGAL FOR THIS EVENT.

Please post any more questions or concerns.

Updates!

After much deliberation, I have decided to ban Nate Pease from this T1 event.  This has been a topic of debate for me for the past few days and this is the decision that I have reach.  I hope that this will optimize the number of attendees at this tournament.

Prize updates.

As posted this is the prize if 25 people show up

Mox Jet
4x Polluted Delta
4x Flooded Strand
4x Bloodstained Mire

Obviously if the number exceed 25, prizes will increase.

SIDE EVENTS

8-man single-elimination pods for a dual ($5)
The first 8 to drop get free entree into this event

ALSO

Here's a cool one.  I will be giving out $30 in cards for the highest placing deck with Quicken AND Tendrils in it.  I just think it's so fun.

for those interested in coming to this event i think it will be a good idea to start preregistration just to get an idea of head count, and perhaps do the usual prereg dual type thing.

Please pre-register a Dave Feinstein.

He is bringing a party of 5.  I will be playing the role of Jennifer love Hewitt.

Okay, last update before tomorrow.

PLEASE show up on time.  I do not like running late.  This tournament is already starting a bit later than usual ones so i don't want it to go too late.

Tentative buyback prices

Mox Jet - $240
4x Deltas - $44
4x Strand - $36
4x Mire - $28

Once again prices will be increasing based on attendance and lots of other free stuff will be given out as well.

Any other questions please call 203.506.1336

29 players.  Top 4 split between myself, Stefan Elsworth, Craig Dupre and Dave Feinstein.  I enjoyed the event, and look forward to Chester improving as a TO.

Q&D

RD 1 Elves - 2-1
RD 2 Craig Dupre w/GAT - 2-0
RD 3 Dan Cunningham w/Bomberman - 2-0
RD 4 Stefan w/GAT - 2-0
RD 5 ID

Top 8 5c UbaStax 2-0

I'm very happy with my current configuration of GAT.  The only game I lost all day was vs Elves.

Top 8 was 6 gush decks, 1 stax... and the little goblins who could :p

Tourney was fun.  I went undefeated as well... but I had some luck (and by some I mean alot :p)
Goblins is fun but I'm unsure of how well it could run in a larger tourney.

I will have a report up soon covering everything as well as goblin strategy, some bonus decklists and pics that have absolutely nothing to do with the tourney =D

Thanks to Chester for the tourney.  It was a fantastic first outing.

Thanks for the 29 players that attended my event.  It was a lot of fun and I will definitely be having another one.  I will be posting a TO report shortly after i finish some school work.
