I think you know this already, but I'll post it anyway: I'm at school down at Duke in North Carolina so I'm not in the area to attend any events during the school year. Further, this next summer will undoubtedly be my last summer at home, if I even stay home this summer. So, count me out for pretty much every event in the future in Columbus except maybe this coming summer (or maybe winter breaks).
That being said, if any of you guys are in the area, you should go to this event because the events there are well run, relaxed, and a lot of fun. Further, after the event you can probably convince the local guys to take you to a place where you can get a burger so big that you can actually feel your arteries clogging. If that's not fun, I don't know what is.

I don't know if you guys think its relevant or not, but TMLO3 (The Legacy Waterbury) is on the 3rd and 4th of November. I'm not sure how much this would conflict, but I figured I'd remind you.

I talked to some people. Trogdon and Yang should be there. Nam said he'd probably be there, but he wasn't sure yet if he'd be able to.

FYI: This tournament is ON.
See the first post for details.
The only downside to this tournament is that the colts are playing the pats on Sunday, but I still think this is the best practice you can get before SCG Chicago.
This tournament is designed to be the perfect testing ground for SCG Chicago. We won't publish decklists until SCG Chicago, so this is a chance to try something out, give your deck a test run before the big showdown in the midwest. If you just want to come out and have a good time, this is also the tournament for that.
Perennial SCG P9 Top8er Paul Mastriano will be on hand, as will I. Come and run the meandeck guantlet!

I will be at this event. And, I am bringing with me Paul Niccolo, who is fresh off his victory at the last R.I.W. Vintage event.

The only thing i did well with yesterday was my sandwich. I got owned by mark trogdon and his decks.
I usually order two of the ¾ pound of beef burgers and finish them still a little hungry and for somehow i never realized the thurminator exists 2 of their ¾ pound beef patties topped with ham and a side of fries with a pickle spear. I inquired to the waitress about the sandwich. She said only 1 guy ever finished one while she was working in the 5 years that she had been there. It was delicious. My one criticism is that the sandwich had a liberal amount of pickle slices while is also had a pickle spear on the side. I feel the pickles on the sandwich would have been better as a more liberal dose of the other fine condiments. Mark Trogdon agrees. OOh or mayber just a second pickle spear would have been better. Indeed I think so Upon completion I asked the waitress if they served desert. They have brownie bites. HOW GOOD!! She said she would pay for them if I finished those. Yummy. Before ordering brownies I mentioned about stopping and getting a frosty float from Wendy’s on the way home. A guy I brought with me got excited for frostys so I stopped and had a frosty float too. I honestly could have eaten more too but my food bill for the weekend was already running a bit on the high(heh) side after the previous evenings Sammy Hagar concert(I didn’t like him but the mad Anthony express opened for him and that was quite enjoyable) The only thing to eat at the concert were 6 dollar burritos. My were they good. Lyle 1, Thurminator 0. I must do this more often.

The top 4 at this event was
Steve Menendian - GAT Brian DeMars - Vintage Control Josh - GAT Mark Trogden - UR Landstill
But most importantly, I won at Type 4 (again).

I apologize to Justin M, who brought it to my attention that he did in fact make top eight not Josh.
The top eight was actually:
Steve Myself JUSTIN M. And, Mark Trogden.
