Euclid's Elements is MY bible!

So...for those who didn't know, at Hadley Sunday, yours truely made a wager against a certain TMD Open 11 champ Justin Timoney.  The best of 5 match was set to determine which person would be forced to play a deck of the opponents choice at the next Myriad.

If I lost, I would have to play a Wokshop Aggro deck with two of my most least favorite cards in shop decks: Juggernaut, and of course, Smokestack

If Outlaw lost, he would have to play the R/G beats deck that won the last SCG in Chicago(because Outlaw hates to play Aggro decks)

I, of course, swept Justin 3-0.

We plan to play again at Myriad to keep the grudge match going.  Same stakes, loser plays a deck of the winner's choice.

My question is this, then: If I win this time, what deck should I make Justin play?  (Keep in mind the deck has to be fairly playable)

Please voice your opinion. Thank you.

The original MeanDeak Oath. With Intuition, AK's, 1 Trop, and no black spells.

Just replace some trinispheres with some chalices or something.

Basically, anything that Eric Miller ever played should be an option Smile  That guy's decks were hilarious.

Doomsday.dec, because it has so much potential, and yet is insanely hard to pilot, resulting in maximum frustration and humiliation.

Ray,

There are two things to consider when selecting a deck for Outlaw:
1. Outlaw is a Pirate.
2. You are a math teacher.

If we put these two facts together, there is no doubt about what to make Outlaw play.
Make him play Fish with Ninjas!

Yes, that's right, Ninjas, the natural enemy of Pirates like Outlaw. He'll be forced to sleeve up his nemesis and see them in his hand all day.

And, best of all, you perform your duty as a math teacher. Outlaw learns math. Combat Math!

I would say combo decks are out...  Outlaw likes combo.  Wheres the fun of that?  Unless its like Proteous Staff Combo or something silly.

My vote is for WG Teeg Control.  Something like:

20 Lands (including Karakas, and nantuko monestary)
3  Lotus, 2x Mox

4 Glowrider
4 Tarmogoyf
3 Teeg
3 Mindsensor
3 Kataki
3 Preacher (hehe)

4 Keen Sense
4 Thorn of Amethyst
3 Root Maze
3 Orim Chant
3 Sword to Plowshare

The Jankiest Deck Ever: http://sales.starcitygames.com/deckdatabase/displaydeck.php?DeckID=23693

However, he should play 2x Riftstone portal, no gaddock teeg, crop rotation, and terravore in there. SB should be appropriate for his metagame.

LOL thats a good list too.  Reguardless of which deck he goes with... you have to run the x1 Seeds of Innocence in the board.  Its totally good in this meta.

Plagiarize and Seedtime are both incredible against Brainstorm.  They should both be maindecked as one-ofs.

I think it would be awesome if another good player was forced to play Dawn of the Dead. He could probably do well with it and tweak the SB and MD slightly to fit his metagame. Seeds of innocence is actually very good in a stax heavy metagame.

Tell Dan you want the latest build of TMWA to play at the next Myriad,
and then make Outlaw play it.

Either that or Landstill, the opposite of combo...
Maybe with Ninjas maindeck.

either one of the version of Gay Red OR the original mono-blue Fish.

Theres a tiny seed thats stolen from a staight man everytime Gay/R sees play.  I wouldn't want to know the implications for you, Ray, if Justin beat you after making him play with Gay/R.
