I'm pleased to announce my 10th Mox Tournament. The site my 1st event of 2008 will be the site of my very 1st event, Gateway Comics Etc. It's hard to believe I am already approaching my 10th Mox tournament. It's even harder to believe that this will be my 10th set of ELD Proxies. I am very happy with how the community has received them. I truly enjoy seeing the proxies that I spend so much time, effort and money making being used in tournament play. My goal when I started was simple - Make quality proxies of the expensive T1 staples available to everyone in New England. I am now closing in on this goal. Mishra's Workshop will be the last non-power cards that I release as ELD Proxies. Timetwister and Black Lotus will follow, and at that point, I'll have achieved my goal. I appreciate all the support I've received from the community, and anticipate the continued growth of Vintage in New England. This year, I plan to host at every store I have worked with in the past, as well as some new venues. Now onto the good stuff. First place prize will be a Mox Sapphire. Here are the details: ELD's Mox Tournament XSaturday, January 26th, 2008 $25 Entry Fee with: Gateway Comicslocated at: 3103 Cranberry Highway East Wareham, MA 774-269-3727Parking in rear (no parking in front of the building)You can pre-register by sending me an PM or e-mailing me at EricELD@comcast.net You do not need to pay ahead of time, this is just to get a head count. Everyone who pre-registers will be entered into a drawing for a Foil ELD Proxy! This one will be a foil Mishra's Workshop, the final one in a set of 4. Prizes Based off 30 people. 1st Place - UL Mox Sapphire GUARANTEED2nd Place - Signed Mana Drain 3rd Place - Playset of 4x Force of Will 4th Place - Alpha Sol Ring 5th-8th - Choice from Type 1 STAPLE SWAG including All the Dual Lands, Force of Will and other Type 1 Staples or 2 cards from the PIMPED SWAG including Foils, Black boardered goodness and "ELD" Proxies and other cards you don't need but you know you want. I am going to give away the Mox Sapphire regardless of attendance. Prizes will be adjusted based on attendance. 100% of the entry fees will be put towards the prizes. That's what to expect out of all of my tournaments. A Limited Edition hand-made Mishra's Workshop will be given to every single player just for playing. These "ELD Proxies" do not count towards your proxy count for all my future events, or at any Myriad Games events. I will only be making 50 of these. Players may reserve specific numbered proxies when they pre-register. These are the proxies I have made so far. I've been receiving a lot of inquiries about my proxies. I sell the previous ELD Proxies at $15 each. I also take commissions to make any proxy. These commissioned proxies are not considered ELD Proxies, so they do count towards your proxy count at ELD and Myriad Events. Cost$25. Registration begins at 10:00 AM. Decklists must be received by 11:00 AM. The tournament will begin at 11:30 AM sharp. Swiss rounds based on attendance - Cut to top 8. Proxy rules15 Proxies. ELD Proxies from my previous events do not count towards your proxy limit. Also - Pizza will be available by the slice, as well as snacks and soda. Side Drafts will take be available all day with discounted draft sets. I will have singles for trade/sale I will be buying cards. Commons/Uncommons/Lands mixed (at least 10% uncommon) @ $5 per 1000 Bulk rares @ $0.10 each Bulk Foils @ $0.05 each Bulk Foil Rares @ $0.25 each I'll be buying any and all cards – turn your unwanted cards into cash! Look forward to seeing you all there.

Damnit, I just booked my vacation for the end of January because there weren't any Tournaments By "Just" I mean on Dec. 26th. Eric, are you going to be making extra proxies this time around since alot of people are going to want a full playset?

Count me abord with proxy number 18 please. If you can maintain the Aqua Teen theme with the proxy somehow it would be really appreciated.
Should be a great event as always,

Boo we demand custom mountains Noted. I just finished reading the new UTOG policy regarding proxies. I am happy that there is now a standard which we can apply to all the major proxy events in New England. This will definitely remove some of the issues I have encountered with proxies over the years. Since this will be the first event with this new policy, no game losses will be assigned for reasonable proxies. I will be reviewing the proxies if there is any concern over meeting the criteria. In the future, and I will work with Myriad to incorporate these new rules as smoothly as possible for everyone. The proxy rules are linked hereThe Mishra's Workshops are coming along. I've decided on the final colors, so it's just repetition from here on out.

UTOG Guidelines? Who is in charge of this? UTOG is just some guidelines so TO's can get on the same page. Myriad Games has done the work to institute it. The only change it brings to my events, is in regards to the proxies. I will be phasing in a rule, in step with Myriad, to make sure that all proxies have all relevant game text on them. This will curb much of the "down side" of using proxies, which is the confusion that they sometimes create.

A reminder to pre-register if you are plan on attending. The store is set up for around 30 right now, and I will be bringing a couple tables. If there is a higher turn out, I'll need to bring even more. Your cooperation will help make this event run as smoothly as possible. All pre-registrations received by the end of the day on the 25th will be entered into the drawing for the foil Workshop.

Thank you to everyone who has pre-registered so far. We're up to 25, and I'm hoping to pass the 30 used to come up with the currently listed prizes. I have a great selection of Type 1 goodness, and I'd love to beef up the support if we break 30. Remember to pre-register if you will be showing, and if you're on the fence, it would be great if you dropped me a line. I will be bringing tables, so I want to make sure I bring enough so no one ends up cramped.

The total pre-registers comes to 30. Hopefully we'll see a few extras, and we'll be able to bump up the prize support even higher. Remember, everyone who plays receives a Mishra's Workshop Proxy. These proxies do not count towards your limit in any future ELD or Myriad events. Click to enlarge.

Thank you to everyone who attended. 29 of New England's best showed up to battle it out for their share of swag and glory. In the end, Oliver Beaumont's Leyline of Singularity said it best - There can be only one. Congratulations to our winner Oliver, and everyone who made Top 8 in a very tough field. Full report soon to follow.

Congratulations, Oli. Well done. Thanks to Eric for another well-run and fun event. Also, thanks to the owner of the game store where this was held. The store was warm, comfortable, and clean. Despite my scrubbing out, it was a great time.
