I would like to set up a monthly (or so) Vintage tourney. I live in SA, TX. I know Cron lives here, and I have heard of several other players in the San Antonio area. I am hoping to attract people fromm Houston, Austin, DFW, etc., as well as all the T1 SA players I don't know about. If anyone is interested, please just post your name and location to this thread so I can figure out tourney cost, prize support, proxy rules, and most importantly venue size needed to accomodate.

Perhaps suggestions as to prize support/proxy rules would help. My initial thought is $20-$30 entry, 10 proxy. We could possibly even do unlimited proxies with a free 5 and $1 for each additional (which may help lower entry costs). I'm thinking cash prize splits would be best for tourney prizes because then the prize is always garaunteed worthwhile and can generate a sizeable amount. A ten person tourney could equate to $100, $40, $20, $20 for top 4. I was thinking 3rd, 4th money back, 2nd $40-60, and like 70% of remaining cash to 1st. Obviously allowing for venue expenses to be paid. If we had 20 people at $20 a head, that's 20, 20, 60, and 210 - leaving 90 for venue costs. Please propose any prize splits, entry fees and proxy limits that you'ld like to see. If anything, I'll even get these tourneys kicked off at my home to just get the ball rolling.

Ex-Team Vacaville member Trevor lives near Galveston, but as I know nothing of Texas Geography, I don't know if that's anywhere near San Antonio.

Nybody else in TX? This is the problem I'm finding around SA. Not a lot of players and not a lot of interest in Vintage....I'm hoping to change this.

If there are tournaments being held as far north as Dallas-Fort Worth, I am interested. I live in the Oklahoma City area but I am not willing to drive to Austin or San Antonio unless it is a large event.

I'm in Austin, but I wouldn't drive even to SA for vintage. I might carpool except I also don't really care about the format. LMK when you want to talk Legacy, however...

I live down outside of Houston. It'd have to take something above a few people putzing around for me to make that drive. That being said, if this looks good, I'd hit that.

Speaking of Texas vintage. I was wondering if anyone knew a place to play some vintage around the Witchita Falls area of TX because I will be visiting there sometime this summer.

I'd be interested in some Vintage, Legacy, or anything competitive at this point.
