Much thanks to the folks who distribute powers within these boards! T1 in Colorado isn't going to die anytime soon.

We have a venue:

Time Warp Comics & Games

3105 28th St
Boulder, CO 80301
(303) 443-4500

We have a Cash Prize: 90% or better of money that comes into the store will get paid out. The past two cash tournaments held at this venue have had 100% pay outs. The top eight will decide, prior to the start of single elimination rounds, exactly how that money is paid out.

We have a Proxy Limit: UNLIMITED. Yup, this first one is going to be unlimited proxy. Like it? Tell me. Hate it? Tell me. Player feedback, especially on this issue, will affect later touraments.

We have a date: June 29th, with registration begginning at 11AM. Tourament will begin at noon.

Eh? Not a terrible start, right?

It's a real bummer that this event is on Sunday instead of Saturday... Does anyone have an objection to maybe throwing a future tournament on a Saturday? Scott Limoges might even show up to the event if it is on a Saturday.

Boulder, eh? That will be interesting, but probably manageable.

I actually rather appreciate unlimited proxy tournaments. They allow players to play what they truly want to, rather than having to play lesser decks because they're build-able.

Im down for this, and any other Sunday tourney in Boulder for that matter.  Somebody has to rep the crew in the 1-2 drop bracket.

I am hoping this event will get very rowdy.

I feel like this should be a rowdy event.

Does anyone know the store's policy on Mad Dog?

You foul bastard, are you getting strange on me?

Never mind that. While the store owner, and his employees, are present--there will be no drinking, smoking, or grab ass of any kind. Once he leaves . . .  well, who hasn't heard about that foil flooded strand I took home, with dark rituals fueling Yawgmoth's Will in my right hand, and a big old fattie in my left all the way through the finals? I believe I even cast a rather poetic Ill-Gotten Gains.

So far, I have gotten a lot of response from our community. Keep pouring it in fellas!

future tournaments can and will be held on saturdays. just not this first one.

EDIT:

there was some confusion with the store. While everything listed above in still correct, and accurate, the store sent out it's email newsletter for vintage being this sunday . . . the 22nd. I held those involved to the 29th date, so we get two tournaments. Show up if you can or want to tomorrow as well, with the tournament starting at 1 pm.

Thanks that's great  Very Happy. I hope attendance for this one doesn't change his mind about Vintage. Tell Ed he would have been plus one if I could have done anything to make it either Sundays.

It's cool that you were able to pick up the t1 tournament scene Pierce. Hopefully Lou won't piss on the toilet seat this time and screw everything up again. Just kidding, I don't know if Lou did that or not, I just thought it could have possibly been him. I just don't think it's above him.

But seriously, good luck to the crew, I wish I was there.

Dude, seriously, I know this. But come on. I'm pretty sure there were at least a few people that thought it was you when it happened. I really think it was the boneheads that got a game loss for being late. In my opinion, pissing on a toilet seat after a game loss for being late might seem like a cool thing to do, depending on my mood that day.

But seriously, I have a lot of respect for Carl and all he's done, and I would never do that either. I wonder if Carl had to take a mean Lorenzo(shit) and when he walked in the bathroom, there was a toilet seat full of piss. Man, I'd wanna beat some Magic dorks ass hard. I can't blame him for being mad but, come on, no more tourney's. That is bull. I just remember seeing a lot of my homies at Black Gold for these and I'd be hella pissed if that was all going to change. Carl's taking it to the extreme for sure, but what can you do. It's his shop. I bet he'll start up the tourney's again.

Josh, good to hear from you.

But let's not make this thread about who pissed on a toliet seat. Please?

Also, the three late did not do it for sure. One was a vegan who tries to live like a monk, and the other two were fifteen year old kids. Since they show up in JSS and Chess Nationals shirts, I don't take them for the type of vagrant little fuckers you might find defacing a bathroom.

That said, let's not launch into some discussion into who it might be . . . it'll get out of control pretty quickly.

Though should Carl find the person involved, he definately needs to find a way to return the favor.

With such a short registration period will deck registration be required?
