Thanks to everyone who attended today. We had 30 players and we're just finishing off 5 rounds of Swiss. We had a half dozen folks who were preregistered that couldn't make it for various reasons. Everyone's been having a good time including the cube draft side event. We'll have more results later as they become available.

And a special thanks to Mike for providing the Cube to draft from.  Although we only had 5 in the side event, it was a good time.

We had two people draft G/B, two people draft R/W, and another draft something else - also without blue.

I shall do my best to make sure the cube is present at Myriad events, and even get myself there once in a while.  September looks good, so I am planning on being there.  I am needing to add some new stuff to it though....need to spice it up!

Congrats to the victors, and especially to Tyler who can apparently eat an entire pound of hamburger.  (SS or it didnt happen.)

My one suggestion would be to remove some of the non-basic land.  One of the packs of 15 that we randomly pulled was over half land.  Someone drafting also mentioned they saw two Regrowth's in the card pool, although I cannot confirm that is the case.

I drafted a monster RG deck.  I don't think we shuffled the cube enough.  The first round only had like 5-6 blue cards (that I saw) and none were particularly playable.  I remember thinking that either the two ppl to my left are fighting for blue, or we didn't shuffle.  Then Meloku made it to 2nd to last pick (I grabbed it after passing it twice!) in pack #2, and I knew that no one was playing blue, or that who ever was going blue was crazy.

Next time we should all take like 10 mins to really shuffle the cube well.
